Thomson dropper is 600g+ : £320
Thomson inline post is 200g : £60

I'm not concerned about adding weight where is it required, I.e. The Zee crank is AM/DH style so not not as light as an XC XT\XTR versions, but having spent a large sum on a light carbon frame I'm less inclined to just add an extra pound of weight when I don't feel it adds much benefit.

Makes no sense, might as well go full weight weeny if your worried about adding 400g on a dropper (which is the best bike item ever) but then decide to run Zee cranks?!

how the hell do you jump that sweet evo stumpy with your seat up?:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:
There aren't many gap jumps or north shore drop offs on UK Trails ;)
Otherwise, jumping table tops and rock drops - no problem. I cleared Kirroughtree Black and Laggan Wolftrax Black without requiring any seat drops, which is a pretty good test.

Some of you lot need to man up :p

You would literally die if you rode some proper tracks

Proper tracks - where?
I've done Snowdon, Ranger Path down which was pretty gnarly, but there are no climbs going down so a dropper isn't required. You climb to the top with the seat up, stop for 5 seconds to drop it, then carry on down :)

Same for Fort William DH

 If Laggan black doesnt count as a "proper track" then i'm scared to see what you ride.
Pretty much what I was thinking - troll post.

The only reason for a dropper which I can see is Enduro Racing.

Shock horror, SDK^ disagrees with pretty much the entire industry who thinks that dropper posts is the best thing since the invention of the wheel.

Welcome back to the thread plonker :D

These the same people that are pushing for everyone to ride 29" wheels :p

I see the benefit but they need more development. Read the comments on Pinkbike after every dropper post review, practically everyone complains about reliability. No product is any where close to being perfect.

Pretty much everything I've read is that there is no reliability issues with the reverb. Well nothing ground breakingly so.
