I use a joe blow track pump and without washing up liquid as a lube i cannot get the air in quick enough to get the tubeless tyres, with inner tubes, to pop back in to place properly, i think a compressor is a must tbh, im thinking of converting to tubeless and investing in a compressor.

are there any shifters that just go up to 2 on the front? cuz all the ones I've seen go up to 3

He's getting a dual ring chain device IIRC.

All shifters go 1 - 2 - 3,you just limit the mech with the H screw!

yeh thats right

the black spire dewlite .. looks good but I'm not too sure on the whole ISCG adapter becuase mbuk says they aren't very secure so could I get the adapter sort of welded to the outer of the bb cup ?

because I do, I do trails and some biking on roads so I dont want to crawling everywhere. http://www.blackspire.com/chain-guides/dewlite that should be the one I'm after if people can advise me if an adapter could be welded on rather than jamming it in between the bb cup and the case thingy magigerrooo

It's a lot of money to spend upgrading a bike that's only a year old. What exactly is wrong with what you've got? I'd just upgrade the drivetrain to LX or X.7 (about £150) and get new forks (about £150 again if you shop around).

Why are new hardtails being made from 6061? Both of mine are 7005. Why the change?

also has anyone here got some good close up pics of iscg mounts? so I can show them to who ever can weld? are the tabs flush to the edge of the bb? or to they sit in a bit? if so by how much?

Just use an adaptor behind the bb cups, they work well n much better than welding extra bits to your frame

they can move if you hit them hard enough on something but its enough easy to knock it back. Better than hitting it hard enough to damage the threads on the iscg

Well to me it just seems if i get £300 as you have said and then sell my current bike i would have the best part of £600 and with a little bit more i could have a whole new bike.
Also I'm now using it a lot more on single track and would like a light frame(well lighter overall bike tbh) and better forks with a bit more travel and lockout

Well guys.. not having much luck with the Orange 222

Managed to snap my rear brake hose off, rip the gear cable out and bugger my bottom bracket up

How the **** did you do that? pics?

My brothers currently looking at getting a Specialized stumpjumper,the one at £1500. Has juicy 5s,X9 gears,truvativ cranks and fox forks. Has the triad rear shock though,is it any good?

The stumpy with the fox brain comes in at £1500 by the looks of it aswell.

He was originally looking at last years enduro with hayes soles and crap forks for £1150,amazing how your budget increases with bikes!

If the newer brain shocks are anything to go by the old ones they aint very good. Try and get an up market Enduro!

There should be a dent of the rim on this page or the last.. Fixed everything else today

Go for it then

It'll probably be worth it for the extra goodness you get from riding single track faster.

Question for squffy/road bikers: Do I spend £850 on getting a really nice bike now, or spend £200ish on a used low end ride until I get properly used to road bike riding?
