Big Sony PS3 announcment coming 31st March?

Well kotaku seem to think that it's gonna be a ps2 price drop but if so it seems odd for sony to have a big announcement for a £10-£20 price cut for an old console. I still think a ps3 price cut will be soon.

Did Sony say they where having a big announcement or is it the usual case of the web blowing things out of proportion only so there can be lots of '**** You Sony!' once they are disappointed.

well i have a ps3 and have never played a ps1 or ps2 game on it and i have quite a few of them - and before anyone says - its a launch 60gb model

same goes for my 360 and all my xbox games

I also have had a 60gb one for 3 years now, the only PS2 game I played on it was Final Fantasy XII (and a short while I replayed Final Fantasy X) which came out after I got a PS3, apart from that nothing.

I've had my 60gb US PS3 since dec 2006. I've completed God of War 1 and 2, MGS 1,2 AND 3 and shadow of the colossus.

Also heard that firmware 2.7 is out on thursday 2nd April, in the end it was a rumour so if nothing comes of it no surprise. I do hope nothing gets announced on weds (1st April) as no one will believe it lol
