Remember though, you're only paying for the rest of your policy on a different bike, so if you only have 3 months left then that's why it's cheap.

But yeah, I had similar on my Speed triple. Was cheaper when swapping from my Hornet to my Speed than it was to get a new policy

My Policy runs until Nov, so will last me the summer anyway, I'll worry about renewal at the time :).

Just insure a moped next time, then swap to the 701 sm, wouldn't be surprised if that ended up cheaper :p

Ahah that's a plan, and it probably would end up cheaper.

The local IAM group meets near where I live, so I plan on going for some advanced tuition - I'll (try to) pass a crap load of advanced riding over the summer to hopefully get my renewal down :D

Had my insurance renewal quote come through at £91 for the year. :p One of the few benefits of being an old ****.

Just about to go get the bike out give it a clean with that Sdoc100 stuff for the first time then I'll instal the new fully charged new battery & cut & chop/sort a few wires out whilst I'm at it. Then it's off out to do all my fave roads for a warm up then maybe off out Derbyshire way.
First day I've felt healthy enough to ride for a while & it actually looks quite nice out there at the mo so I'm going to take full advantage

We had our open weekend over the last 2 days and today we had Kawasaki down with an H2R revving it up every hour on the hour. I haven't heard one before, we've sold 3 or 4 H2's so used to their noise, stood a little close at 1100 and, as I type, my ears are still hurting :D

Not Had a trials bike in 33 years.
The last one was a Yamaha TY175, this time I'm going Spanish with the venerable Montesa Cota.
Pick it up in 2 weeks, got it for a good price £1300
Anyone else like the old 70s twin shock bikes ?
Well I'm not getting the Montesa after all.
He wasn't forth coming with all the info, it doesn't have a Montesa front end, its Bultaco trials bike front end.
I was looking at some pictures he sent me and it didn't look right, So a bit of Googling showed me it wasn't a Montesa Cota frontend.
Now while it doesn't affect the bike in use, its a bad point if I sell it down the line.
No point having an old classic trials bike that isn't original .
he sent me what he said were picture taken the other day, yet its has old tyres on(the tread blocks have rounded edges, if they where new like he says they would be square edges. if I was to trial it, the tyres on it are useless worn that way) .
so I now don't trust him on the other stuff he said, rebuilt engine, new cables and plastics etc.
I'm not prepared the drive a 300 mile round trip to find he lied about something else on the bike.
So I have walked away from the deal.
Looking for another now :)

Was watching some vids, looks a little annoying to ride really, the back end just spins out as soon as you want some speed, so it's too powerful to even wheelie :p

The thing is, you don't need to rev this bike. You just twist enough to hit the boost and it goes. :D

I've stopped at a fair few places when out on the bike looking for a new set of gloves & nowhere has had a pair to even fit let alone a decent pair that fits. Even those from that link posted above only go up to a 3XL when in shops even the 4XL don't fit me. I know I'll find a pair of 4XL's that'll fit me in the end but **** me I don't half have to search to find kit that fits me as I want it to. Don't even get me started about finding Bike boots size 14/15. Current Boots & Gloves are still sound so hopefully I'll find more before there not.

Haha good luck with the search, I have trouble with only 2XL not fitting, never even seen 4XL!

The bike gear sizing is a bit weird, most of my clothing is size M and when it comes to bike its equivalent is size L. I should have got my first summer gloves in L not XL, length wise perfect, but too loose. damn skinny hands :(

How many people on here use intercoms? If so, what intercoms you got? I'm thinking about Sena 20S, you can connect to any other intercom brand, can have up to 8 people connected to you, voice commands etc. :)

Sena 20S here. Not one issue, amazing bit of kit. Expensive, but one of the best bike buys I've made, makes rides and 'touring' infinitely more entertaining.

The 20s is meant to be the best out there, the 10U looks great too for specific helmets as it's all tucked away, nothing there to interfere with wind etc.

I have a cheapo £35 jobbie which does the job, but if I get a 2nd helmet later this year (Shoei GT Air) I'll grab a 10U to go with it.

I've just bought the cheap 50 quid for a pair ones that are really popular on Amazon, and come highly rated both on the site and by motovloggers.

I'll let you guys know how I get on.
