Also, one of the things I'm not keen on the SV is the indicator size. I could be some LED ones, but I seen the handle bar ends with the lights from Oberon, who seem quite well regarded.

Have any of you used them, if so thoughts?

I know they are expensive, but they do look cool :D

£102 on indicators

What you've got to remember is you'll need to play with all your wiring to some how get it running through your bars and they don't strike me as something that would be overly visible to be honest.
Also on my SVS I tend to ride with my hands half on my bar ends so they'd be useless but YMMV.

I'd say they're more of a thing to be used in conjunction with actual indicators than stand alone.

Anyway congratulations and enjoy the SV!! :D

I've gone full stupid and put a deposit down on a Husky 701 :D

I should be picking it up next week! - only negative is, supposedly Husqvarna didn't produce enough of the coloured seats, so its got a black seat for now - I'll be sent the coloured seat when in stock.

Start as you mean to go on.

"Sorry sir we can't replace the doohicky this service as we forgot to make more of them" :p

SV650s, which I assume is the sport version?

All I know is that it looks very nice in the blue and being curvy. I prefer the curvy styling over the pointy one to be honest, the 2017 SV looks very nice though from a few images I have seen.

You have the Sport version right?

My dad will be coming out on his ST4s, so lots of noise on Saturday. That thing is a savage though - he also has an old Yahama Gensis (Race engine!) but as it is over 90bhp I couldn't ride it -he is however selling it to me after a couple of years :D.

Yep that's the sport/faired version. I do I've got the pointy model though, the dark blue is very nice though especially after a couple of coats of wax.

Is the only difference the fact it has a fairing?

She will be waxed (Ooooerh!) :p

That and the naked has a slightly longer swingarm iirc.

Also when you put your reg in to do your insurance and it auto selects the bike model it'll probably select the naked version so make sure you double check, unlike me :o

Thanks for the heads up - I am with Carole Nash with my YBR, when I took out the policy I told them I will be putting my SV on there once passed so essentially an insurance transfer.

I need to get some crash bobbin for just in case. Motoslider or R&G?
