Copper I had, had to do 90 mph+ to catch up,he let me off too hehe

That's getting carried away and chasing bmw's

I was doing over 145 with m8 on the back on the bypass and when I slowed down for the roundabout I heard a siren I thought ****** I m ***** but as I truned right and thinking when to pull over he went straight on LOL he had a more important job to go to I **** my pants :p summer was on the way.

I never speed, I blur my speedo in videos so the viewer can't tell that I speed it up to make me look better (officer) ;)

Unmarked?

I've only ever been pulled once for speeding. The guy asked me if I knew how fast I was going, I replied about 30. He said he had to pull over 50 to catch me up, I made some comment about the speedo reading just above 30. He got angry and let me go.

I'd read somewhere that unless they have your speed recorded on a device, deny all knowledge. If you admit you were speeding, that can act as evidence. Not sure if it's true, but it worked that time :p.

Nope, Motorcycle Police Officer. The chap caught me with a speed gun at the the end of a Bricklayers arms flyover. He gave me a warning and I spent the rest of my journey trying to stick to the speed limit and my god that's not easy.

I've been caught by a speed camera van a 10 years ago but that's it. Since then I go by the rule that 30's and 40's should be respected and the rest come with a pinch of salt (depending on conditions ,traffic, etc). It's worked well so far!

I remember on the meet when I was asked about Local old Bill & Told Everybody our local Police are cool as **** don't worry about it, Everybody just looked at me weird then a bit later a Copper in a car Stops in the Middle of the road just to wave us pass & let us all turn right. :D

Around here you really have to be an **** to get pulled/nicked.

Got caught doing 70 in a 50 mph zone on a duel carriageway that was being repaired .
it was empty of workmen I may add, it was also just after 5am.
Was on my way home after a night shift.
the copper just showed me the video and asked what I was doing out at that time, when I said I was on my way home after work, he said just watch your speed next time and let me go

The thing is I'm always getting left behind at traffic lights by really fast Sports bikes and if I'm finding it difficult on a stupidly slow commuter bike what the hell would I be like on a powerful sports bike, I think I'd have lost my licence by now.

you have to resist the urge :p

Anyone going to the MCN show over the weekend? It'll be my first time, going up on the Saturday after getting my near tyre fitted first thing Saturday morning (a new angel GT was delivered today). Hopefully there'll be a load of bargains there, I want to pick up a tomtom rider 400 and 2 kriega US20's if they're cheap enough, and some furygan leathers if there's some deals on them.

I'm heading up there tomorrow, it's not usually as big as the Birmingham NEC show, but I've always picked up better bargains at the London show.

Really looking forward to seeing Neil Hodgson and Chris Walker chat. The 2000 BSB was my favorite season to date. Be interesting to see them going back over the highs and lows of that season, especially when Stalker blew his engine (which gifted Hodgson the Championship), walking back to the pits bawling his eyes out.

Not actually looking to buy anything, will just see what's on offer and spontaneously purchase if I see something when she's not looking...;)

The rider 400 gets poor reviews on Amazon, 2 out of 5 stars!

Probably because of when it was out initially there were some issues, like not being able to upload a route directly to the sat nav, I think you had to take the sd card out each time. They've fixed a lot of stuff since then.

I hate the garmin interface which is the only other choice, so TomTom it is. Google maps navigation has gotten better with 'proper' offline maps and navigation, but you can't manually plan a route so for long trips it's not great.

I bought a 400 recently and except for a lowish res screen (used to using my phone for satnav), it does the job well.

The Tyre software that comes with it is a bit of a pita (I've had a few crashes with it), but It's let me plan some multi point routes and push them to the 400.
I've not really had a chance to use the twisty road mode, but it looks fairly cool - letting you define the degree of twisty roads and height before it generates a route.

The bike holder it comes with is a bit large, but it works well.

The only real negative I've experienced is that you need to press it quite hard when wearing gloves.

I'm looking forward to getting more use out of it over the summer.

reversed my car into a bollard at work today :( Nice big dent which I reckon will be about £350 to repair.

Repair... or bike.... repair....... bike!?
