I forgot how irritating girls can be on the back on a bike.. my god does it make you a better rider though!

By 'better' you mean 'less naughty' right? :p

I've never had a pillion but I know I would go easy on the first few rides, just to make sure she liked it before opening the bike up ;):D

Would your 400 move with someone on the back? :p

:eek::p

I do remember feeling the extra weight with 80 litres of luggage on my wales trip last year and thinking I could do with some more power, it was probably 20-30kg worth luggage I suppose, so a svelte female on the rear would only be double that :D

I nearly bought a Honda CBF500 2006, 2 owners. The guy had this bike since 2007, older bloke (he kept in garage and only rode it when warm)... only 14000 miles on the clock. FSH from honda, all stock and had michellin pilots 4 which were only just scrapped in still with the little bobbins on the side.

But, my dad has stopped me from buying it and I'm thankful for that. The bike is underpowered for what I'm planning on using it for, the next person after me will definitely buy it. I could easily had that for £1600. Not far away from me either, only like 10 miles. :p

Unless you're using it for doing 1000+ mile trips across europe, a 500 ain't underpowered! Won't you be on an A2 licence anyway? So everything will be that power level.

In fact I'd say a CBF500 is a perfect first big bike. And £1600 is a decent price.

I won't be able to keep up with others on the trip, everyone's bikes are around 100bhp+. The most powerful bike in the group is currently SV1000, they would lose me on straight... :(

It 'technically' has to be restricted to 47bhp, since I'm a 'good boy' I'll have it restricted. But you can't restrict the torque, the SV and MT has double the torque CB has. ;) The power difference only really comes into play at higher speeds, right? :p

Which SV ant MT though? The larger capacity of both surely can't be restricted to 47bhp?

Is he not trying to compare them to the torque of an SV1000? Nothing restrictable would match that I'd guess...

I could be wrong though.

Sv650 or MT07, there are loads and loads of bikes available for A2 riders, even such bikes like Ducati monsters.

I'm not that rich to leave the bike in a garage every week lol, SV650 and MT07 are the only bikes that interested me in terms of power/torque, weight, reliability and character. Other bikes are meh...

Edit: What other bikes did you mean, by "loads"?

I was doing over 145 with m8 on the back on the bypass and when I slowed down for the roundabout I heard a siren I thought ****** I m ***** but as I truned right and thinking when to pull over he went straight on LOL he had a more important job to go to I **** my pants :p summer was on the way.

I was tearing through a 40 zone at 2am on my way home from work when i saw blue lights and heard the siren as i slowed down for a roundabout. As soon as i got off my exit i pulled over expecting a lecture.... it was a paramedic haha

Watch Schaaf on YouTube, then tell me you can't keep up.

I subscribe him...

From the videos my mate showed me and when he told me what the last trip looked like, their average speed was around 100mph.

The legal speed limit on motorway in Poland is 87mph, and some roads are 81mph. :)

They can just wait for you after the passes. You won't keep up with them on any restricted bike as acceleration does get affected too.

You're right, no matter what restricted bike I would take.... I wouldn't be able to keep up.

The bikes going are: CBR600F, SV1000, Z750, Bandit 1200, Hornet 600, Bandit 600 and I don't have a bike yet. :p

Edit: The other thing is, I'm not as skilled as they're... I also don't have the experience, it won't be long after passing my license and the trip will be on.

Edit2: ATM this will do :D :p

Edit3: How long would it take to remove all of those stickers? I'm guessing, if they're clear coated there would be a mark left after removal? = http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUZUKI-SV-650-S-09-5255-FSH-MANY-EXTRAS-GREAT-CONDITION-/262283869815

Be very wary of bikes covered in stickers. People will often use stickers to cover up scuffs or other imperfections.
Also, if they've been on a long time and seen a lt of light they will likely leave marks if the paint around them has faded.

My optimate charger has just been delivered, will set it up later today, weather doesn't look too good either, supposed to rain all day!
