Don't use TomTom's winding roads, it's trash unless you want to make amusing videos of where it takes you.

Choose fastest route with the avoid motorways option on the TomTom's for the best mix of fast side roads.

Left the bike wrapped up under it's cover this morning, didn't fancy the will I/won't I make it to work journey with the ice.

Oxford Stormex. Keep your eyes open and you'll usually find them a fair bit cheaper than the £70 odd retail price.

33bhp and something the weight of a fag packet, I'm sure you'll still have plenty of fun on the 125 :D

Felt the powerband of a 250 2 stroke? my god it rips your arms off lol. The R6 is quick (discovered on Sat that it power wheelies in 1st :D) but a 250 2 stroke on 12" of sand is warp speed

See this is my issue with letting sat navs do their own thing, and why the ability to completely manage your own route and upload it is priceless...

I want to do a quick 2 day trip in April/May, probably down to le Havre, so I picked a destination, and let the tomtom pick a winding route. Not far in to the route and it appears to want to take me down this road...

It's not the sat navs fault, but I do wish there was an option to 'stick to main roads' as I can see the winding road option taking you down lots of single track roads ignoring the perfectly paved road a few hundred metres away, which it in fact it has done in this case! This shortcut avoids the main road for no more than a mile or 2.

That road looks great to be honest!

You can change the settings of the winding roads though - I did a cross country from the Vosges to Reims using winding roads but with the slider to 'not very windy' and it took me over some great fast N & D roads. That was on the older Tom-tom though - haven't tried on the new one yet.

So I'm trying to decide between a Er6, Sv650 and a Hornet. Will be getting a fairly old one (~03) as I want it to be cheap for my A2 as I'll most definitely drop it and it saves cash for an unrestricted bike in 2 years

Search for Zowghi's thread on here. His ER6 went severely **** up, engine was a total mess looked even worse than it does in the pics on his thread.
