There's an old guy on my commute that wears an open face helmet with the visor up 99% of the time, he always looks grumpy as ****, don't know why he doesn't use his visor!

he might be a sado masachist:eek::p

cant beat a pair of sunglasses imo,i have an internal flip down one but I hardly use it,just a few times in summer

I agree sunglasses is the way to go.

I wear prescription glasses so I need to either stump up for prescription sunglasses or wear clip ons which I do now but don't love.
I think I prefer the idea of a dark visor along with my Photochromic Lenses to block out the worst bright sunlight.

I'm not a fan of flip down internal visors, a dark tint visor is fine even in cloudy weather unless you'll be riding in the dark. For my commute I use an Arai pro-shade, flip down external visor, but as I ride away from the sun each way I don't really need it much.

Respro masks are supposed to solve the issue with glasses fogging up. It's a mask that velcros in to your helmet & covers your mouth/nose.

I hate the inbuilt sun glasses too, they're a pain and change the vision a little...

Mirrored visor all the way in sunny weather! :D

Might give one of these a go. I'm sick of my glasses fogging up and since chin mounting a GoPro it's only gotten worse!
Was riding back from work on Tuesday and it was so cold that even with the visor up I was fogging at traffic lights.

My original plan was to use a cheap stick on tinted visor insert in my clear visor.

But they're apparently crap, I don't have a pinlock visor so getting a tinted pinlock insert isn't an option.

I was even going to to try window tint film but if I can get a smoke visor for £20 quid that seems to be a sensible option.

You csn usualy buy a pinlock visor for most helmets.

I like the scorpian ones because they designed for them to they have a recess for the pinlock and its the full visor size basically.

My shoie spare helmet the pinlock is just on my eye line when tucked in and is infuriating

Funnily enough I only fitted my pinlock mist retardant last night but haven't had a chance to use it yet. Fitted my mirrored gold visor for a bit before putting my clear one back on.

It says not road legal. Are police fairly hot on that?

No as long as you're not riding like a penis.

Stripped out my rear pads and drained the brake fluid this morning until I get my new disc, the warping was causing some bum clenching wobbles in corners and I only tend to use the rear at a standstill anyway.

Wouldnt vinyl wrapping your clear visor with window tint work too?

I have added a strip of vinyl wrap over the top two inches of my visor.. blocks the sun no end! Best thing i have done and doesnt affect my vision at all.

had a good long ride today, along the wergs road and to whitchurch, the bike was great no spluttering or misfire so idk what it is:confused: weather was lovely and mild

the exhaust head gaskets are blowing slightly,i just couldn't get a good seal last time I messed and it was spluttering in the really cold weather so maybe it was that? anyone who has any idea's id be grateful;)

I wanted to have a ride out today and/or fit the power for my satnav (need to lift the tank) as it's dry and warm, if a little cloudy, but I have the man-flu, I think I'm dying...
