Some people don't like the tomtom and think it's a step backwards from the old rider 5, but I've not had any issues. The screen autorotate can get confused when leaning the bike, but you can disable it. It's not the fastest when trying to scroll around the maps but once it's navigating it's perfect. They've added some bits like split screen junction guidance, and phone calling so they're constantly updating it. The 450 looks to be a slight update to the 400 I have, with a better screen (touch sensitivity) and a few other minor changes (world maps vs euro maps).

Exploring austrian alps, awesome roads, awesome views, all round awesome.

Stunning. 6 more weeks before I ride down there - can't wait.

That's a tough trip! Our route loos like 2,400 over 9 days, and 1,200 of those are over just 2 days. Where are you going? We're doing the Alps from east to west - Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France.

It's the Alps trip (the thread is on here somewhere) - We take 3 days to get to the Dolomites, via overnight stops on the B500 then Austria. 3 nights in the Dolomites, then across to Lake Como for 2 nights, then heading west to Switerland to Kreee's place for a week.

So the same direction as your, starting at the dolomites then working west, after all the last thing I'd want at the end of a trip when you want to get home is to be 1000 miles away. Nearly 1000 miles of the trip is just getting to the B500 and coming home from Switerland, then another 550 miles from the B500 to the Dolomites (although there's a couple of passes on that route :D)

Can't see what they have chained it to? But why the (camouflaged) disk lock as well?

Edit: Actually I think those things are as a result of the front damage! What if it was stolen and damaged and the owner still needs to use it? Hence the tape for now until a better fix can be afforded?

Also - Chicken strips say it's not ridden to within an inch of it's life

That's just my poor photography - there was an anchor point in the bollard. Would have been hilarious if it was just chained over the bollard!

Scared the crap out of myself this morning, overtook a Mondeo as the light went green, over a humpback bridge. I have been over this bridge 100's of times, but today I thought I would give it a bit more power.

Well, a 11 O'clock wheelie later, and brown trousers I got to work. I would however, do it again. :D
There is a bike meet later, looks prime weather for it.
