I had one I kept it for 8 months. It's a license risk owning one.

Manic performance and just eags you on. Great bike, could be better finished and if you are over 90 kegs needs re springing.

I have a speed triple r now which is tame compared to the S1000.

Ride safe.

This is why I didn't get one, same with the street triple. The R1200R I went for instead is much easier to keep on the right side of the law but still has lots of poke.

It's all down to personal experiences I guess, when I was younger I rode 2T motox so I'm used to ragging anything that's got a revvy nature, bikes with torque suit me much better as I get the power kick without getting sucked in to using high revs.

The Street Triple is nice because it requires a bit of work to get up to naughty speeds so at least you know how you got there.

The Tuono will go from legal to jail time in an unbelievably short space of time.

That's partially why I like my v-twin tuono, I rarely go above 7-8k rpm as all the fun is between 4-7k, you still get up to triple figures pretty quickly as it's a 1000cc 139bhp bike but in fact I tend to end up cruising at a faster speed on my VFR than on the tuono, it's quite easy to be sitting at close to 3 figures and it feels like you're only doing 60.... :o:eek:

I got squeezed on the inside on a roundabout on Wednesday. I was going right, she was going straight over and clearly forgot they're call ROUNDabouts. Though as any experience rider would do, i wasn't directly parallel, so just broke away and gesticulated her what-for :P

Good on you. I'm calling this one to last out the calendar year.
And good on you for trying and owning so many bikes too. Many will mock, but few have gained the same ownership experience.
