I think I'd pay the £250 especially at this time of year! Middle of the summer then it would be a nice day out

What’s the longest anyone has ridden a bike home after collection?

My mate wants to collect his bike, it’s £245 for delivery or a £35 train ticket and a 5 hour 45 minute ride back!
There's another option, rent a van and pick it up in a VAN. My local rental place, familly run business only charges £55 for 24h, obviously you need to count for fuel cost.

I wouldn't buy a bike without viewing it, unless its new or very cheap.

Alwasy view it even if you get it delivered.

In summer I would ride that back. But not in winter that far. Too cold and wet to be enjoyable.

Friday the Vespa gets chopped in for my new bike.

So today I popped the battery in it and got some shopping on it, lo and behold, I'm in love with the bloody thing again. Honestly it's like a little celebrity, it just draws eyes and smiles everywhere it goes, and it's such a hoot to ride.

Might hafta see if I have a spare £3k lying around :/

Got a digital version of my bike:

Only instant purchase DLC I've got (Ride 5 btw) :D

Sadly I've not put the IRL one to bed for the winter, as we have a house move on the horizon, so I might need to ride it down to Dorset in the coming month(s).... Really hoping for a nice mild winter lol

And there she goes, shame to see it go, it was my first love after all but the Honda has now taken over commuting duties.

Today I own it a week, and I've done just shy of 200 miles on it. Still absolutely smitten. The heated grips are nowhere near as strong as the Oxfords but still a massive help in the cold. On Tuesday I took it up to Milford to check out our new local 'hood and bumped in to someone on its big brother, the X-ADV 750:

Naturally we ended up chatting about them and he popped something under his seat, I remarked how small his storage is and showed him mine, his response was "******* hell!". He then mentioned power and I was promptly put back in my box.

I've hit 90mph on my mate's runway and it had a bit more left, but I'm trying not to thrash it too much because it's still being run in. I reckon it'll hit a ton.

In London, it has all the power I could ever need, it absolutely shreds off the line to the point that the front wheel often wants to come up.

Oh speaking of which, the traction control is a bit touchy when on max setting, I was going through a roundabout and hit a rough patch of road and the traction control kicked in resulting in the bike sounding and feeling like it was dying for a couple of seconds. I absolutely **** myself, but now I know what it is. It's happened one other time when I hit a speedbump a bit sharpish but at least now I knew what it was doing.

It's a bit of a beast :D

I wouldnt be riding a decent bike about at this time of year, they just get ruined from all the salt on the road, plus its easy to drop them when its icy and snowing. I used to ride about on an old gpz500 over winter but im far to old to be doing that **** anymore.
