I use to be around 11 Stone (72kg's) when I cycled, but I only just got the roadie out couple days ago... lube it'd & cleaned it. I don't have the motivation to jump back on it though. :p

It doesn't help that my work involves me sitting at a desk all day and so does my course I'm doing...

What make of leathers you fancy?

Dainese most likely

Edit I need to look for a garage, the nearest one will be over a mile away though... I got all my tools out today, was planning on changing the handlebars and putting crash pads on. 2 attempts today, it rained as soon as I got all the stuff out each time. That's my luck for ya!

Over 6ft,either 6ft1 or 6ft 2,I'll have to check again

I really feel the cold aswell so I have to wear a t shirt and two thick jumpers under my bike coat ATM,I've lost a stone in weight

It's alright, just means you don't need to modify your bikes to save weight! :D that's my excuse anyway

The exhaust was like 6kg's? The Delkevic is 1.4kg's, so that's quite a bit of weight reduction right there. :p

With the Hood kevlar jeans, did anyone get the D30 armour with it?

Nah, didn't bother. My brother did and said it was uncomfortable sitting there all day. They have updated the armour since then and it's supposed to be comfortable, but anything sticking in your jeans when you're sitting for most of the day is going to be uncomfortable.

I'll just have to deal with my smashed up legs and be happy I didn't get road rash as well :p

The hip armour in mine has saved me some serious pain the couple of times I've gone over on ice, without it I'd have smashed my hip bone straight into the tarmac with 200kg of bike on top of me. With it in I hardly even felt hitting the road.

You were lucky. My lowside with alpine star tourmax trousers on still took me 2 days to walk properly again. That's a steel frame for you though

Personally I think everything should come fitted with D30 style armour, it's soft and comfortable when you're on and off the bike and from my testing provides brilliant impact protection.
I need to look into seeing if they do some that will fit my leather jacket as the traditional armour that's in it isn't too bad but the D30 would definitely be more comfortable.

I've also come to the conclusion that I'll never get a pair of sports style boots to fit, I wear a pair of Richa touringish style ones at the minute and they're spot on. Ordered a pair of Richa Blades even went one size up as I know a sports boots is always going to be slightly tighter but not a chance tighter than a ducks butt!
I think that's me tried all of the main brands of boots now and nothing is wide enough while being vaguely the right length.

Even the Daytonas which are the only ones I've found other than Altbergs that come in different widths just don't fit, width and length fine but then far too much room around the top of the boot so my foots just flapping around

If your jacket has normal size armour pockets then it should fit, I've got the level 1 stuff although I keep meaning to buy a level 2 back protector for my jacket.

I'll have a play with the stuff from my Furygan jacket when I get a chance, but my leather's armour feels like it's one big plate curved for the elbow then running down my forearm although I've not had it out for a proper look yet.

I like my RST jeans for if I'm just nipping around town but the placement and thickness of the kevlar in them doesn't fill me with confidence for much more than that.
