I was in Ace couple times, one time there was a Latin girl with fit body... everyone turned their heads haha. But she was with her bf, so yeah... even if you find a hot biker girl she's most likely already taken. :p

Over at Ace, from the couple times I've been there what I noticed is, that people just get into their little groups. People aren't really approachable, although I did meet some people over there (their first time there, so was mine lol). But mainly I went there after I visited my ex, to meet up with my mate for a chat.

my work colleague has bought a Ducati 848 Evo

hes not passed his test yet! and riding around on a 125cc at the moment

I did try talk him out of it and to go for a Hornet/SV650..other usual suspects

any tips for him? ive never been into the Ducati but read that they have a cambelt? more expense!

126bhp and 93 miles per tank full, twin termi cans and tiny plate which i have told him to replace with a legal one.

I will be riding it home for him :D

Nice! Isn't there a guy on PH who done a similar thing didn't have a licence but bought a top spec brand new Ducati, he's not short of a few bob judging by his cars as well but he's not dead yet.

Just called the tyre shop, they're saying they can only repair Michelin tyres, not mine because it's a high speed tyre and not allowed under British standards.

BS?

Hmm, thanks for the link, at least that confirms they weren't BSing. It's ProTyre I spoke to earlier, so I guess being a bigger company they need to stick to those standards.

Going to triple check tonight/tomorrow to confirm it is leaking, then take it somewhere or replace. Can't see any damage so must be something tiny. So annoying.

On top of that, road tax had to be paid today, plus breakdown cover ran out :(

Nice looking bike. Hope he likes paying insurance and repairs for when it breaks :p

They're not that bad. I assume it's 2nd hand?

Our bike mechanic we go to told us the Ducati are the Alfa Romeos of bikes lol

Can't wait till he passes. At least i can some spirited runs out with him instead of slowing down to wait for his 125 to catch up :)

Yep second hand, 6k on clock, fsh, think he paid Around £6.5k

Il take more pics and helmet cam video on way home on it next week. Probably the only time il get to ride a Ducati. Not a mega fan myself

Yeah the 848's can be had a decent prices now, the EVO is the one to get, better brembo monoblocs and a few other updates. In fact you can pick up 1098/1198's for not much money too.
