Just worried about the loss of feel though if I get one, seems a few people complaining abou that. mine is bloody hard work but at least it feeds in great. My brothers SP1 is easier on the wrist but is like a on/on switch. hate it. Let me know how you get on, if all goes well ill prob do the same to mine in a month or so.

No reported loss of feel on the various RSV forums, just lots of cured achey wrists! :) . Will let you know how I get on though.

I know that bike is that lllN30lll off bcf ?

Yep, if you read back through this thread he said it himself :p . Loads of people from BCF on here.

Oops missed that bit :o :p

Yea i know there's a few BCF peeps over here , spotted the one's with the same user name but not sure about other's :D

Do you reckon an Admin can change my name to lllN30lll for me?

Yeh it's me from BCF Fella.

And as for DK, SHAME ON YOU!!!!!! I loved sitting outside in the sun by that burger van lol :D

Can anyone give me an idea of the percentage noise increase from a stock exhaust to a Scorpion with DB Killers my bike is a Yamaha FZ6 S2.
The reason I ask is I leave for work about 05:30 every morning & I am concerned that having the Scorpion fitted will cause problems with the neighbours.
Cheers

with the DB killer they are not that bad, certainly not offensive by any stretch. Just like standard but a bit throatier. Obviously its more noticable at high revs but just take it easy in the morning and I dont think you will get any complaints. Remove the DB killers and you will though :D

Is it just this area or are ALL britains roads crap at the moment?

I had a huge near miss today thanks to NO signs of a VERY sharp left hander out of nowhere, it was literally a right angle. Slammed on my front brake and thank god my tyres were warm as I would have come off. managed to stop just before I hit the verge, most annoying thing is... I was doing a max of 40 in 1st, barely pushing it as it was a national and I heard it was a twisty road!

Also, all the crap gravel, pot holes... Just getting sick of riding the bike in this weather as 1) crap roads, 2) a hole drivers 3) no fun anymore :(

Think it's time I admitted the truth and gave in within biking tbh. No excitement in it anymore.

Race cans with db killers tend to sound like wet farts to me. Its all or nothing as far as I'm concerned! :D .

You have heard nothing until you heard a 916 with a full 50mm termi system on it :P

Get on track dude!

I was bored of riding on the road before my accident and now its even worse with crap road conditions, only reason I would still do it is commuting, im so tired of sitting in traffic after 7 months!

Should be fine m8. As long as you start it up, let her warm up a tad then gently bimble out of your street I can't see it being an issue. I usually cycle to work but every now and again I take the Mille, not laterly but certainly when the better weather arrives. I have twin high mount Renegade's on her, no baffles. I leave for work on a dayshift at about 7.15am so not too early. Try and move off as soon as I can to limit the noise but big V-Twins don't like moving off before being warmed up, the thing usually stalls if I try and go too early.

It's not the noise that wakes folk up anyway, with the Mille its the sound pulses and vibration. :D

That said, next door have recently got a yappy little brat of a dog which gets chucked outside every morning, 7 days a week at 5.30am when the guy gets up for his work.It barks constantly. So I think over the next few Summer months when I use the bike to go to work the word "touché" will spring to mind. :p

I have a Ducati 748 with open termi's, meaning VERY loud, you can barely talk over them, well, you shout lol. And thats at idle.

If you are warming the bike up, give it 90 seconds. Then set off slowly and keep the revs down.

When I first installed the termi's and realised they were so loud, I went around to my close neighbours and told them and asked if they would prefer me to walk my bike out of our street or if it was ok. All of them said they didn't mind and were beyond grateful I had asked. After a while they got used to it.

Also, most of the men that answered the door answered the question with "What better way to start the day with that loverly pur your bike gives!"

hehe, ags

My bike is currently in intensive care!! went out the other day as posted above went to go homer and wouldn't turn over. got home and battery was about 1" full of fluid. so got a mate to check it on his Oxford charger mabob, was charging fine and said it was okay. Checked Regulator/ Rectifier and on the back it has a rather nice crack and what looks like solder sticking out the back. after running for 1 minute the reg was that hot i managed to burn myself on it. so ordered a new one planked it on and took battery to a mates bike garage. Battery's goosed too. so no happy. Will just need to oggle and sit on a lot of bikes at the Edinburgh bike show and make it jealous. LOL

Really didnt get on with Anglesey, course was just too short and the constant change of tarmac was very off putting. Just didnt enjoy it at all. I called it a day halfway through the day, it was light rain in the morning which was fair enough, but when it started lashing it down I decided to chicken out. The final straw was when a imaculate RS250 with full race wets dabbed the front brakes directly in front of me an washed out in a blink of an eye.

This was a few years ago though it it has supposed to have had a bit of money spent on it since then.

I have heard its grippy in the wet, although I dont think I'd want to try to find that limit :) I doubt I have the time to find a cheap Supercorsa rear so will probably end up using my standard Diablo, but atleast that'll give me a little more confidence if it is wet :p

Yea its changed a lot since then Kidloco, muuuch better now no more dodgy change of surfaces :p

tbh I really want anglesey to be the first track I use wets on, as it offers so much grip in the dry its somewhere I can experiment with grip levels in the wet :D

My first experience of a wet track was Donington on Supercorsas... and that was only for 2 sessions but not exactly confidence inspiring!. I'm so scared because my luck has to change :( 14 UK trackdays and only 2 were anything remotely damp (2-3 sessions max), all others have been clear blue skies!

My first wet track day was at Donny also, and I had Dragon supercorsa rear on that was well past its tread levels, to say it was scary was an understatement, but my own fault for leaving myself skint so I could not afford a new tyre!
The only other track wet was Rockingham and thats got some dodgy areas in the wet as I found out and crashed last year :p

Glad to hear it's changed. Have they made it any longer? Don't think I got out of 3rd.

Done a few trackdays in the wet. Donnington was fun, although people were dropping like flys at melbourn loop. Oulten isn't to bad in the wet. It's a pretty grippy track and just so much fun. It's only 20 mins away which is prob why I have done it so many times. Awesome track, even with the stupid changes they made a few years ago.

I'm doing the International GP - 2.1 miles.
