Unfortunately not, the 24,000 mile service on Triumphs is pretty much everything that is consumable/wearing replaced. Oil, fuel and air filters, engine oil, coolant, fork oil, brake fluid, spark plugs, cam covers and seals. Checks on throttle and clutch cables, ECM, valve clearances, bearings lubricated...

Parts were about £350, labour about the same. :(

Fortunately I won't need another expensive service like that for another 24000 miles, next one is in 6000 which should be a couple of hundred.

Haha yeah hopefully! Though if I commute on my bike next year I'll be doing 17000 miles! :O

I do have my eyes on a new Speed Triple SE though...

I no longer like you LOL.

Love triumphs and the sound low down with the 3 cylinders bubbling away

HAPPY!!

I rode a bike today :D:D First time in almost 8 months, to say it felt awesome is an understatement, it was only up and down the street but I cant wait to ride properly again now!

:D:D

Glad to hear it dude, but it felt like all of your Christmas’ rolled up in one :D

On another subject, I need to have an arthroscopic operation on my left wrist after the doctors looked at the results of my MRI scans, I’m just hoping it happens soon with a short recovery time, or happens in winter, as I don’t want to miss summer riding

Ooh, and my rear Corsa 3 is ready to be replaced, almost down to slick levels in the middle, I may just get another, as the front Corsa is ok, but I’m toying with the idea of getting a new set of Michelin Power Pure; anyone have any experience with them or heard much? If I do just get a rear, I’ll make sure I go for a 55 this time, completely forgot last time and ended up with another 190/50.

I have an Yamaha naked Fz6 S2 I am experiencing a lot of wind buffeting & would like to fit an aftermarket fly screen I want to order a Puig Ref. 4511F - Dark Smoke http://www.puigusa.com/tuning-bikes/yamaha-fz6-s2-2008/naked-new-generation/c171en/f199-r121-m1878/ the distributors that are listed on the Puig site have crap websites can anyone point me in the right direction to purchase one of these screen.
Cheers

Ive always had a right nightmare buying Puig stuff, I think in the end I found puig or one of the big german distributors had an Ebay shop and I bought a screen from there.

Thanks Mate, it was like xmas, birthday and some afternoon delight all rolled into one :D
Going to hopefully get the SV calipers build this weekend and then Ill hopefully have something to get started on.

Damn good luck with wrist, probably will be xmas with the waiting times :p

Ive heard that the Power Pure are quite good, though they are the same family as the 2CT Michelin technology so they should be great, and prob would work ok with a Corsa3 from seeing as they are both dual compount rubber.

Good on yer :D , what was it you did to yourself again mate?

I remember the 1st time I got back on a bike after not being able to walk for months, was so chuffed to get back on.

Aye it wasnt braw.

Shame pics have been moved on that post. not that looking at them is fun but just highlights now serious it was and how lucky you were.

I think the pics that arent showing are just ones of my bike from the motors meets.

Page 4 onwards the accident pics are, and some are here:

I still cant bring myself to throw away my leathers lol even though they are in about 5 bits now, just makes me think I could be dead or at least have no arm and leg now if I was not wearing them, and how great the knee armour did, broke though all layers apart from the final back layer before my leg!

Im guessing so, I dont remember much it all happened so quick, thought I was never unconcious. but im guessing yea my front disk caught his front wheel, most of the damage to the initial side I did with my arm and leg though, the bike dented abit into the drivers side door where I then rolled off.

I ditched my leathers, lid etc, even the stuff that wasnt totally knakcered, just to wipe the slate clean.
