Well that excuse works the first time but when you go in several times and they recognise you it starts to become more difficult!

Video I took of the Knox Handroids! How sexy are these :D
Once they have the black version in XL I will be buying some.
If you are usually a XXL size like me then you will prob only need XL in the Handroids, otherwise your thumb might move about too much.

Got the bike up for sale because I was thinking about getting a cheaper bike and a car.

Had a local guy offer me a 1999 Blackbird with 20k on the clocks. Lots of history and MOT's to proove mileage, heated grips, new tyres and scotoiler. He wants to swap plus £1k my way.

So..... do I go for the blackbird?? Opinions?

Blackbirds are lovely bikes. cannot comment on your question as im not experienced enough. But just think of the track  Yeah a black bus will go round it but not as fun.

Just reading post about Gloves, I bought a new pair of Frank Thomas ones at the bike show. Plain black with carbon bits. Utter *&%£" falling apart already and that was just march I got them. Velcro strap is falling off and they just appear to be falling apart in ever part of stitching

Never used Frank thomas, but have used Alpinestar, BKS, Racers, Joe Rocket and some oldskool Hein Gericke Lobster claw winter gloves, all have been great.
BKS and Racers still going.
Alpinestars surived my crash though they cut my right one off, Lobster claw still use in the winter.
Joe Rockets were good but the thumb was too small for me even though they were xxl I think, and my thumb cut a hole in them.

Are they all-year gloves? Or summer-fun only?

Yea £160, Roo leather too. Cant help myself though :D

Boot prices have gone silly I think, the nice Daytona or Sidi Race boots are £300+ :o

I picked up some nice Wolf race gloves in Kangeroo leather, brand new for £53, absolutle bargain granted they dont give you terminator hands but at half price there are defo worth it.

The only gear left for me to buy is some boots, I have some Oxtar ones in good nick other then the soles are a little worn, causing my feet to slip off the pegs a little. need to get some new ones but like you say, this stuff aint cheap. Prob stick to Oxtar as they are really well built and I know they fit properly, buying boots that fit my ankle full of plates and pins is a task in itself. Would love a pair of daytonas, but just dont have the cash with a holiday 6 weeks away.

I think Oxtar have rebranded to TCS now, nothing wrong with them though :)

Sidi prices are plain silly now, I got a pair of Vertigo Corsa boots for just over £200, £300 for the vortice (replacement model) is a bit too much

(Saying that I've got myself a pair of Daytonas in gunmetal grey and they are awesome :D)

Speaking of kit I need to get some stuff for off road use, anyone got any advice with regards to green lane stuff? (I need the lot, armour, boots, lid gloves etc)

Cheers

Mmmm, wonder if I could get away with some winter inners and handroids on the outside when it's cold....

Nope, tried something like that in the past, makes the feel of the bars/brake lever etc exactly the same as if you are wearing winter gloves. You will notice that you're a lot colder than winter gloves though :(
