I will at some point.

Going to do a bit of work to the bike first then get something.

i wan a new lid to, I have a Caberg Trip nova. only got a flip up due to wearing glasses and its easier to get it on whilst wearing them. But its loud as hell

well its a 1986 vfr750 completely standard. Im getting both wheels powder coated for £90.00 then replacing wheel barings and rear disk and pads along with front pads.

going to drop engine out clean absolutely everything and strip subframe back and put undercoat on it then paint it. just make it look really good.

Im one of the folk that if they do a restore i get really particular. so will take a bit of time but well worth it.

what I did when I had to go and replace all my gear just a mont ago was to go to a number of proper stores where I could spend some time, try everything on etc, then go off and find it online cheaper. bit sneaky I know and I wouldnt normally do that but there are huge savings to be made.

  • Wolf Kangeroo Leather Titanium Jacket - RRP £379. I paid £179
  • Wolf Kangeroo Leather Titanium Jeans (zip into jacket for track days etc) - RRP £379 I paid £179
  • Wolf Kangeroo Leather Race Glove - RRP £100. I paid £53
  • AGV T2 Barry Sheene Replica Helmet - RRP 399. I paid £279 with a free dark visor worth £50

I'll most likely do that I too :)

Specially with my strange measurements  :D

I had the intention of doing that. but had money burning a hole in my pouch and it was between Christmas and new year so knew delivery's would be up in the air so bought from the shop.

My uncle was looking for a new helmet when we were at the bike show in Ingliston he had the intention of trying them on and going home to see if he could get one on the net. but when the guy offered him a Full Carbon Caberg and he was to make an offer I said £170 being an utter smart git thinking the guy would say where to go. he was like sold. Couldn't believe it full carbon lid for that money. came home looked on the net and all were about £270.

Well I will need to get my camera out. ordered new wheel bearings last night and will be striping the wheels down tonight to get them powder coated.

lol yeah, I was in one place for over an hour trying on loads of race suits, then various 2 pieces, the guy was really helpful. I had my son and my nephew with me and lukily they were getting bored and were messing around so I used that as an excuse, the old 'ill come back without the kids and sort it out'

Did feel really bad but they wernt budging on the price, the money i saved by shopping around paid for my insurance.

Do you not find it difficult giving an excuse to the sales assistant as to why you aren't buying now?

Nope. they get it all the time. best excuse you can use.. if you aint on the bike at the time. Im doing my DAS and want to get an idea of fit and cost prior to it.

My wife on the other hand jesus she cant say no.

We went looking at baby stuff to get ideas for when we have one just on cost and such. walked into a pram shop. Little woman sprung from no where like zebidy and asks oh when are you due. ERM ERM May next year (which would be this year now) I was like WTF!! woman had me walking about testing prams for my height and telling us about frames and wheel sets. AHHHHH
