Binding of Isaac - Price and date announced!

If people did not know, you can press escape mid game and get to options where you can make the screen bigger and select the quality.

There's lots of little new bits in the patch. Turns out it wasn't a "patch" so much as changing the accidentally released beta to the full release. Whoops!

At least it didn't take days like RO2. :p

So there were a few minor bumps with the launch, came out a few hours late, the launch build was actually an older beta build without achievements and minor music issues.. but we were able to update asap and patch the issues right away.

For most of the day Isaac was the #2 highest grossing game on Steam! amazing stuff! thanks to everyone who picked it up and did video play throughs, podcasts and livestreams of the game, its been yet another surreal launch experience .

It might not make sense to most, but launching a game really takes an emotional tole on you regardless of how the game does, so i really want to thank all of you who went out of their ways to live stream the game, sent me awesome emails and fan pics, you really picked me up.... so now to give back!

Well as i mentioned in my previous post, there has been a lot of talk about a Halloween patch next month if the game was received well, this is obviously the case. So on oct.31st be ready for a very dark and jam packed FREE update to isaac, that will add a lot more to the game... but 1st.

Kill mom already!

Free content in a month. :D

I do but he takes so long to take kill I end up making enough mistakes that he kills me.

Once you've taken out the bottom two pods you just need to stand to one side of him, about half way (or just below) down the screen. All you need to dodge then are his sideways spit attack thing - and it's fairly predictable when you're always stood in pretty much the same place :)

Monstro 2 seems like a complete bastardo though.

Monstro II wasn't that bad. Though I did have powerups that gave my attacks boomerang, a 'wiggle' and homing so I just held down fire and ran around a lot and hoped the homing did my job for me.

Famine and Pestilence were really awkward bosses. Specially when you were barely getting any healing items so you were gradually losing health all level. Mom killed me the second time around though :(

I find Monstro II really annoying - I keep forgetting about the 'beam' attack.

Sadly in work at the moment so I can't play. Hopefully I can waste an hour or two tonight though.

I avoided the beam fine (after getting hit the first time). It was the spawns of exploding bugs that did more damage in the long run.

Does anyone else find it really annoying that the item descriptions don't carry across playthroughs?

What's with there being a version with and without soundtrack? If I buy the version without soundtrack is there just no in-game music or is the soundtrack a separate download for listening to outside of the game or sommat?

It's a separate download, both games have in-game music.

Really enjoyed what I've played of this so far, looking forward to more this evening :D

I'm not sure I understand :p

If I buy the game and the soundtrack will my enjoyment of the game itself be enhanced, or is the soundtrack a separate thing entirely that I'd listen to like an album?

Cheers

It's a separate album in mp3(?) format that you can listen to outside of the game.

They're not charging you extra to have music in the game. :p

Does anyone else get severe lag problems when there are too many things going on at once? The last time I fought Mom I had a 5 second delay on everything I did which made for a rather... unique fight. Luckily I was that amped up that I still won but I then got trounced on the next level (twice because of my extra life) because of the delay.
