Binding of Isaac - Price and date announced!

Ok, managed to pay for a copy of this.

LASER TEARS.

I had a bitching amount of power-ups on one go. Poison touch, vampire healing, chocolate milk (charge move), piercing bullets and pentagram (damage up).

It raped.

Also, blow up BLUE blocks if you see them as they will have faith (armor) or a chest in them.

I had the ultimate fly combo there.

Got it from the kid in the arcade, flies love you, then I got acid touch. They just fly over, zero damage and die because of my skin! :D

Damn this infernal randomness!

Got uber tears up which made them much bigger, then got Chocolate Milk. My fully charged shots were doing insane amounts of damage. It probably only took around ~15 of them to take out Moms leg. Plus by this point I had 9 hearts and over 60 coins (and there appear to be no shops in The Womb which made that rather pointless) and 40 bombs. I unlocked all 3 other characters in 1 playthrough and beat Moms Heart with ease ><

Also found a Laser Eye the attempt before. That was cool, infinite distance penetrating laser as your regular projectile attack.

Yeah, I had a similar game yesterday.

I was also pretty annoyed by the lack of shops in the womb. I spent a *lot* on the gambling machines :p

Finally beat the game once.

Got full tear damage, homing missiles and max range, coupled with a devil card for the last boss. Now time to do it with another character :D

Those things are so useless ><
Once I'd cleared The Womb II I just went back to a machine and sunk 20 coins into it to get all my health back. I didn't realise those 'find the item' games in the Arcades could give you power ups though. Final level, no rooms left, and I wound up getting a Fly Love power up...

I had a decent run with Judas... until I discovered something on the 3rd level. Sacrificing hearts at the demon shrine doesn't leave a minimum of 1... so I died!

Now you get to play the extra levels and the *real* final boss :D

Lol. I didn't realise you could do that. I'm sure I tried it and it didn't work but it was a while ago so I'm probably remembering things wrong.

You can get power ups from all of the machines I think? Dollar and flies from the gambling machine definitely. I'm not sure what you can get from the 'guess which cup' - maybe a half price coupon (and also flies from what you just said?). I have no idea what you can get from the blood donation machine, though I've sunk a lot of hearts into them.

You can get dollars from the gambling machines? Whenever I've used them they just dished out a load of crap. The odd single coin, the odd half heart/heart, the odd key, the odd bomb, the odd fly that attacks me. I assumed the donation machine was just a straight up trade, 1/2 heart for 1 coin.

The find the item game seems to be random. I've only played it a few times and it had random items like keys, hearts, etc, then one gave me a power up and the vendor vanished. Much like those beggars you find around some levels, they eventually give you a power up and vanish, sometimes after a few coins sometimes after loads of coins.

Ah, interesting. I didn't realise that it could work like the beggar, though when I first started playing I kind of got the two mixed up a couple of times.

The donation machines definitely don't just give a straight trade. I've had nearly as many different smaller items from them as the gambling machine but they do have a skew towards giving you dollars.

I've probably put around 300 coins (rough guess) in total into the gambling machines and had a dollar a whole...one time :p It must be a fairly low percentage chance.
