BitFenix Prodigy ITX build

Mine got shipped today also :)

Joined this forum just to say thanks for the log here buzz, its a great read - if you are a member on bit-tech look out for my project log in the coming week. Its not nearly as powerful a pc as yours but its my first build in years so should be fun :)

get a p8z77-i deluxe and use the silver arrow sb-e! xd

iirc if you get the h100, u lose the use of the 5.25" bay, if that matters to you

See it was snagging the connector!!! the board its self is nice, great features good at OC'ing but **** poor design!

I had the same problem for the Antec KÜHLER bracket :(

The other gripe I have is the MSATA slot is SATA - 300, not SATA - 600; I'd have happily paid a little extra

I still rate the Z77 E-ITX over the Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe however hands down :)

in what way?

Of the three Z77 ITX boards currently available -

  • Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe
  • ASRock Z77 E-ITX
  • Zotac Z77ITX-A-E

The ASRock Z77 E-ITX is the cheapest offering if you shop about first and foremost (£35-£40 cheaper than the Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe ), I also believe it offers the best layout of the three and it is simply an amazing overclocker.

What isn't there to like? :D

doesnt the socket being so close to the pci-e slot limit the usage of somewhat larger heatsinks?
granted the use of all-in-ones negates this point to a degree, but the problems that some are having with the pumps etc are...horrendous? and kinda offputting? lol

that's my point, you can use an all-in-one, but the socket's too close to the pci-e slot to ever use something like the silver arrow sb-e/d-14 or anything remotely large

yeah i know, its bad cpu place ment my ASrock, but there is no set standard for ITX.

I dont know if want to change to the asus board for my phantek or still with asrock and water it.
