Just forget the installer, bin it. Extract the 7zip file using 7zip and put the contents into a BMS folder in steam/steamapps/sourcemods and restart STEAM.
 
Anyone else feel they messed with the pacing too much? I seem to be flying through the game. I used to really enjoy the gunless moments after the cascade but it really felt like that lasted about ten minutes this time.

It's super polished though, a fantastic achievement for a mod team.

It seems about the same for me. But I am looking around a lot at all the little details they have added.

*Random jolt from the past that playing this has resurfaced is Aleks Krotoski's review on BITS. Tried finding it on Youtube though got waylaid with a video of Emily Booth in White Bikini.

Ahh, I used to love that show :). I got into a really messed up sleeping pattern after leaving secondary school and used to watch that and 'vids' really late at night on channel 4.

Just looked for the review you mentioned but couldn't find it either, there doesn't seem to be much bits material on youtube.

EDIT' is this it? Its about the Dreamcast version. I remeber trying to get hold of this for months and it never seemed to get released, so I ended up buying it for the PS2 instead.

For anyone having problems with your installers. I assume you have 2 or 3 files. A 7z,an exe and maybe an md5.

To fix them, start the torrent down. When you've got the files starting to appear in your download folder, click stop. Copy your current files into your torrent download folder. Then use the 'force recheck' option in utorrent.

Then click resume download and it will fix the missing bits for you.

Or, if you downloaded via torrent in the first place. Try force recheck anyway.
 
I used to like that show; I'd completely forgotten it even existed. Must be around ten years + old I guess, due to the reference to the Dreamcast.
 
Nah, but bloody good find with it being her reviewing Half Life, albeit for the Dreamcast. I forgot all about a Dreamcast version, did it ever see release?

The review I remember, I am pretty sure was the PC version, though certain it had Alek crawling on her hands and knees with a crow bar, getting raw, plucked chickens thrown at her.

Forgot it was on late night CH4, Oh and those messed up sleeping patterns have a regular recurrence in my life.

Played up to getting in the HEV suit last night, taking my time with this. Really enjoying it, you know it is good when you find yourself saluting back to the guard, who lets you through a gate whilst on the tram.
 
I'm not sure if it got released in the end. I remember going into the highstreet games store every lunchtime at college asking if its released yet :D. Then it got released on the PS2 so I bought it on that.

It was before I could even dream of affording a PC, so that's my excuse for playing it on the console. It was fun though and came with a 2 player split screen mode that I played through with my brother.

Talking of messed up sleeping patterns, I'm in one now :eek:. Think I should play a bit more Black Mesa...
