It probably didn't but the amount of press association telling everyone BP isn't the first tells me, and my memory from my only 4 years ago lol, that everyone that cared thought the opposite, no matter the reality.I don't recall Black Panther proclaming itself as the first black superhero movie.

Can see even from snippets of the good reviews that there might be pacing issues though. Didn't realise it was a nearly 3 hour movie.
Same Friday evening. Can't wait.got it book for Friday evening in 3D.
It's 2h 41m and the credits are probably 10mins at least, so more like 2 and a half hours.
considering most fans of the MCU have the original BP near the bottom of phase 1-3 movies
