Guess I'm just gonna have to phone them up and blag hard then. This will be my 12th year with Orange so I'm hoping that counts for something, although I'm not prepared to pay £45pm as that's more than twice what I pay now.

Christ, some of the network prices for this are ludicrous. Have Apple bought RIM overnight or something, how did I miss that?
LOL they are...but give it a few weeks or mths and the prices will come down i would imagine.
Off line sim free prices are close to £500 which i think is ridiculous tbh but thats the price u pay for new tech i suppose....but no way is it worth £500...maybe £400ish but not £500.

I think the 9900 is vastly over priced. I think it will only appeal to die-hard BB fans. I don't think I will be rushing to upgrade my BB Pearl 3G for one of these, I will wait to see what QNX brings to the table Q1/2 in 2012.

After cashback the voda £46 deal is the same as the phone sim free... I don't think that's bad at all!
Probably later this year if anything...rumours are that there is meant to be all white version of the 9900 out sometime later this yr.

Been in to town just, only place that has stock of it (they say since last friday) is Vodaphone. Free on £41 per month x24 months.
Went into Orange. Young lad there thinks maybe middle of august. But I don't think he knew his name correctly anyhow.
Carphone warehouse in my town, again no idea.

Spoke with Orange today over the phone. Their shipment of 9900s has been delayed (at least that's what his computer said) so he had no fixed date for availability.
Also, a question for long-time Orange subscribers: do I need to have been an Orange customer for more than two years to qualify for any sort of special discount offer? Seems some of you have been customers for 10+ years now.
If I agree to another contract then it'll be my 12th & 13th year with Orange, and they're offering me a 20% discount on line-rental in return. Nothing has been mentioned about money off/free phones, but I've yet to speak to them in person - the discount is offered when I sign into my online account.
