Blackberry 9900/9930

I have my 9900 coming Tuesday! :) Broke the screen on my 9700 yesterday, gutted :( Can't wait for my upgrade now though.

Rocking an old school Nokia 3210 until then, it's horrible, but it texts and makes calls which is better than nothing I guess!

Are there any decent train timetable apps for these blackberries? I'm about to get a new phone contract but I'm a huge iOS train times app user. The equivalent app on bb is a must have requirement for me.

Any Orange customers heard anything about a release date yet? I'm getting tired of reading about everyone else in this thread harping on about how good their device is! :(

I think i posted a few pages back that Sept 1st is when they are releasing the 9900 but really the only person who will know is Myshra but i dont think hes allowed to divulge much info though.

I dreamed a dream of Blackberry's
When hope was high
And life worth living
I dreamed that Orange would get stock
I dreamed that Orange would be ready.

The page I stole that update from is updated on Thursdays. Usually new handsets go live on Mondays so don't expect anything next week unless they drop a priority release (unlikely).

Just downloaded it but where do I find the content?

Depends on where you downloaded it to??...it will be either on your sd card or in your internal memory of the phone...have a look around in those 2 locations.

I havent got the phone myself so cant really help you as im not familiar with the OS myself...hopefully ill have mine sometime next week.

I don't get a very strong mobile signal in my house so I am forever going from 2 bars to no signal at all. I always have WiFi enabled so I was wondering if there was a way to make my BlackBerry always want to use the WiFi for BlackBerry data if it is connected. That way even if my phone signal cuts out, I can atleast always get my BBMs

Ermmm it should use wifi if you do lose network signal...in fact on my 9780 i just turned off my mobile connection and used wifi only...sent a few bbms and it works...so yours should work as well.

Been using a Curve 9300 and was going to wait until September for Apple to announce something regarding a new iPhone.

But after chatting about Blackberries all weekend with my mates, I woke up this morning and thought 'screw it, gonna get the 9900!'. Got it for £360 as I work for the company and I just have to say, the screen and touch is amazing (I keep finding myself trying to swipe on my 9300 now!) and the keyboard is perfect.

Next on the list is a 16GB micro SD card so I can chuck all my music on it (goodbye iPod Touch!), a charging dock because I'm lazy and some phone insurance from my bank!
