I just don't understand why you can get the phone for free for £31pm from CarphoneWarehouse yet if you get it from Vodafone directly you have to cough up £41pm to get a free phone. For pretty much the same plan
I guess this will make it harder for me to use the CPW £31pm + free phone contract as leverage when I speak directly to Orange about a similar deal then .Networks pay cpw a large amount of cash for each customer known as a SAC in the industry (Subscriber Acquisition Cost). CPW give some of this back to the customer in the form of money negotiated off etc etc...

Bolds are business devices and the more classical blackberry formfactor. Why is everyone more excited for the Bold than the Torch 2? I mean IMO the Torch 2 is just a bold with a bigger screen... Coming from an iPhone user so this isn't a troll, genuine question

The only thing working against me is that my contract doesn't expire until Nov, I'm just allowed to upgrade 3 months early, so I might have to leave the blagging until later in the year, by which time they might be more flexible on prices anyway.Yes and no. If I were you I'd phone up as soon as possible to discuss your next contract and say "match <cpw deal> or I'm off". They will put you through to retentions, say the same thing and ask for them to match. Ask if this is their best offer - if they say yes you can ask them to lock in the deal for 24hrs while you think about it.
