EVH said:Actually according to the RIAA the Eagles greatest hits album is the top selling 'music' of all time
21 Million Albums ..and thats just in the USA
It's a shame that noises like those get labelled as music as they are amongst the most annoyingly bad, talent exempt, dross heavy pap released in recent years, my opinion of courseElRazur said:It is music but i guess it is down to individual...
There are plenty ..yeap plenty of hiphop tracks that are NOT bad, catchy (Akon -locked up), Nice tune (Tupac - ghetto gospel),.....My opinion off course.
...Yes, top selling album.ElRazur said:Hmm impressive but i dont knwo how they sum the figures together. What do you mean by top selling music? shouldnt it be top selling album??

But I've never heard a nice hip hop song, so they are talentless. I wouldn't dream of telling someone that there are plenty of hip hop songs that are NOT bad, catchy, as music is down to taste, which you seem to understand oddly, yet still try & tell people how good it is, it's not, it's rubbish as far as I'm concernedElRazur said:Have ever tried producing a hiphop track? Most likely no but i do have a home studio and i can tell you know that it requires talent to come out with something nice (a banger).
I guess it is all a case of man's meat is another man's poison...

I once watched a documentary on it and although hip-hop an interesting is although it is associated as 'black' music the money to fund it is almost entirely from 'white' money. This has long been accepted as black kids in urban areas don't have the money to buy albums so copy it on tape whereas white kids have the money to buy the albums. - Entirely unrelated to the topic but I found it interesting to say the least.![]()
I have and run 3 studios and yes, I have produced, mixed and mastered a number of genres including hip-hop.ElRazur said:Have ever tried producing a hiphop track? Most likely no but i do have a home studio and i can tell you know that it requires talent to come out with something nice (a banger).

To be honest, it's basically 'created' and requires much less talent than a band who play their music.. on the other hand, it does make the engineers job a lot easier as you don't have to time-stretch or key shift![]()
