Hmmmm, not really sure what the point in a 2.5 Z4 is. It offers nothing over the 3.0 and has identical running costs.
So this ConnectedDrive is no use without professional navigation then?Ah does your car not have professional navigation then?
Concierge (£80 pa), Realtime traffic info (£40 pa) and remote services (£60 one off charge) I have to pay for, the rest is included. I think I'll pay the £60 one off charge for remote services.
Quote from an indy of £554.92 for front dics and pads (F10). Sound reasonable?
OEM discs, pads and sensors for £200?Er....no? Approaching £600 for a set of front discs and pads on a diesel BMW is just mental. The only time I'd ever pay that is if i suddenly decided that i had too much money sitting in my bank account. These days we pay for everything electronically and i think we've lost a lot of appreciation of money. It's a whole lot easier to allow yourself to put £600 on a credit card than it is to hand over £600 of cash.
As i posted previously, you can get discs and pads for your car for less than £200 and someone to fit them for a couple of hours labour. This will give you £250 in your pocket to spend on something other than brake discs whilst also having new brake discs!
OEM discs, pads and sensors for £200?
BMW used Textar, Pagid and ATE in the past for discs/pads. No idea if this is still the case today. I think ATE is indeed the one most commonly found on all models.
Diamondcut wheels! They look absolutely awesome when clean, or at night as lights refract off the surface... But my god are they delicate flowers :/
These are stone chips on my rear passenger side one, the other side has no chips at all, they already have started to grow in size as water ingress takes place
It seems to be an impossible thing to avoid. They simply will corrode from even the smallest chip or scratch speeding up moisture build-up.
I am going to slowly start looking at wheel replacements, CSL wheels are the logical choice, but they are not value for money. I've also considered 18" wheels from BBS or Apex (likely the ARC-8) which are both highly regarded. No rush though, will let these wheels eat themselves a bit more first...
