BMW and M Power Owners

Thought I'd add mine to the thread as have just treated it to it's first proper wash and wax.

Opinions on whether to get the BMW Performance Grills ?

Well after yet another call to Connected Drive and answering all the same questions again, I was told to wait another 24 hours at which point I lost my rag. I was then asked to send in a picture of my Connected Drive screen as evidence so they can open a ticket with BMW in Germany. There was no previous record of my contact on the system apart from the email of the V5.

Debating whether to get the decent ester based Millers CFS 5w40, or get some cheap BMW LL04 approved oil at half the price.

Has anyone on here tried the Millers top shelf oil?

Millers always seems overpriced to me. Just get the cheapest that meets the specification from a reputed OEM supplier such as PETRONAS, Gulf, Mobil 1, Castrol etc.

Get one with the BMW spec and has passed BMW testing on BMW engines developed by BMW engineers to test engine oils hard. Rather than pander to the ester marketing a salesman uses to sell the product that gives him the most margin

Only ever put Castrol stuff in the BMW of correct spec and BMW authorised.

Unsure which of you is joking? Hopefully both.

Anyone have issues with the F10 seats? I just can't seem to find a comfortable position. It's like they stick out more where my shoulder blades are which forces a sort of slumped driving position.

I 'must surely know' - hahaha :D. No, I had no idea :). Explains why he thinks you need special 'BMW oil' though...classic case of too much knowledge is a dangerous / expensive thing.
Its hardly bad advice to suggest only the use of oil which meets the BMW specific test spec? Plenty of oils do, so why would you use an oil which doesn't list BMW spec approval?
