BMW and M Power Owners

I'm probably going to stick with the BMW performance exhaust as I can buy them at pretty much cost via work. Makes it a hell of a lot cheaper than anyone else's!

I must admit, I would absolutely love a 1M, but the prices are now crazy. Ultimately they aren't that much more powerful than a 135i (30 odd hp). Though they do have a different steering rack, and some of the same suspension components as an E92 M3 (and its diff). They do look fantastic with those arches though.

They are rare, but then my 2013 135 E82 is even rarer, something like only 9 with manual transmission were registered in 2013...

The 135 character suits daily driving better. It actually is a lot more refined that I imagined it would be. It has a very compliant ride even on this uprated suspension, its fast, quite comfortable. it doesn't have all the latest tech you find on current generation BMW's, but honestly I think thats part of its charm. It really does feel like the last of the old school BMW's in a way. Small bodied coupe, straight six petrol, red, manual transmission, hydraulic steering...can you tell I am a fan?:D

Anyone who purchased a 1M originally must be laughing now, essentially zero depreciation motoring.

Just noticed a pretty bad oil leak on the right valve cover but without taking the thing apart I won't know if the plastics cracked or just requires a new gasket. Either way it's another annoyance added onto what's been a frustrating bmw ownership so far.

That 135i is lovely, I'm a big fan of E82's and would like a last of the line manual 125i before long, purely because I don't need the best performance and less to break. I had a 120D Coupe before which I did like especially after a custom map (217BHP/335LBFT) but it was still just the wrong engine for the car that's all.

Surprised he's even gone to the trouble of fitting the quad exhaust pipes too.
I only skipped my OEM backbox yesterday, maybe I should have realised there was a market for them ;)

I finally had my V5 delivered today, it's been nearly three weeks! Photo sent to BMW, hopefully my connected drive stuff starts working soon.

Sod these beginner names in exhausts, Akropovic is where it's at for BMW these days (in my professional and unbiased opinion)...:p
Akropovic are ace but their prices are off the scale. FWIW, Eisenmann started in 1988, compared to 1990 for Akropovic ;)
The eisenmann backbox on my Z3 Coupe was lovely.

Fair enough!

I've finally got my car added to my ConnectedDrive account after having to send in a copy of the V5. You'd have thought the dealership selling the car could have sorted it all out or at least let me know what to do etc?

Anyway, looking forward to being able to control Deezer from iDrive and maybe get the map updates.

*Another "I've just seen another car I fancy" post*

I've always like the 1 series coupe, and after seeing that chappie post his 135i the other day I've been looking at them as a potential daily driver.

Talk to me about the 125i, It's been a few years since it was last spoke about here so more info about potential problems may have arise since then.

Quick browse on AT seem to show you can pick up a 09-10plate MSport with 40-50kmiles for between £8-9k, Are they still a reliable buy? Any issues that could potentially throw up ££££ bills with them?

Cheers.

I want the E92 one but £2.5k :|

Inconel though so 25kg weight saving over stock

Have you updated your DCT to the GTS DCT and EDC over to the competition pack buddy?

Quite nice upgrade and free if you know how to do it yourself. :)

Also get the latest BMW engine map as well a little more responsive at lower RPM.
