BMW and M Power Owners

I did think it was overpriced but it appears to be the going rate... Cheapest on AT is £5k and 300 miles away with fewer options and more miles.

I'd like one, but I don't want to spend £15k on an E89 and definitely don't want to spend £10k on a newer E85.

Is it just the time of the year?

I picked up my 04 3.0i a couple of months ago for just over £4k, and it has near enough the same spec bar sat nav, except it has the sport seats too.

It does seem overpriced, it's not as though it's a low mileage example to justify it either.

Yeh the prices do go up a bit when the decent weather comes. But if you like it, want one and can afford it then its a great car. I cant say to much as both my Z4 and Z4m were the most expensive around due to the millage/colour combo at the time I got them (minus that silly Z4m for 50k as it has -100 miles on it or something stupid).

Unfortunately the E38 is now at such an age where they come in 2 conditions and 2 conditions only: Absolutely knackered with a different knuckle dragging owner every year for the last 10 years, and massively overpriced "Mint" examples that no one in their right mind would ever buy for the kind of money asked.
So, with this in mind a genuine example with a good history and only a few things needing doing sounds like a good shout if - and I know how much you love them - the E38 is what you want.

Indeed I love e38's and have been hankering after another for years now, most indeed are owned by Captain caveman's brother or ludicrously overpriced and I'd almost given up looking, this one I literally stumbled across and as I say, given its current owner and his occupation it is making me think again.

Yes, I want another, I've always regretted selling my last one, but I realize that most if not all out there will need considerable work to get them right and the leaking fuel tank design flaw that afflicts all e38's gets many scrapped as its a big expensive job that few are willing to entertain on an old car such as even the newest are....

I'm off to Cyprus on Thursday for 8 days, I think I'm going to mull on it whilst I'm away and speak seriously to him on my return.

One thing I have decided on now though is were I to do it, the e38 will become my weekend toy / project and ill be keeping my V70.

Wow that seems... like a lot of money.
For the e38? - to a degree, I agree, but at least he's covering what it needs doing to get it right, which is more than can be said for the others a available.

I've got my eye on an Imola red 735i in Hampshire for £2k but the chances are it'll realistically need at least the same again in repairs once I've uncovered its sure to have issues......

So my car was picked up yesterday but this time by a truck as it's not safe to drive due to the oil leak the garage has caused. Been without a car now for over 2 weeks!
