BMW and M Power Owners

Almost all of the ones I see are grey or white! I don't like Mineral Grey as much as Space Grey, I think they stopped doing the latter didn't they?

Up here they're normally grey. 3 and 4 series are either white or estoril. 1's are black or estoril.

There's a lovely grey 6 that I drive past on the way to work every day, the others that I see are typically white!

Sophisto Grey was dropped for Mineral Grey for the 2015 model year. Space Grey remained.

Sophisto Grey came back for the G30.
 
Well the car is booked back into BMW for rear ambient light issue in the exact same place they repaired two months ago for a rattle. I've also mentioned that there's an issue of the brake pedal going solid on occasion when parked up overnight. It isn't every time (happened probably 4 times since I bought it in May) and can be after it's parked up for a couple of days, or simply overnight. It used to happen on the Focus, it was fairly common on them and I believe it was an issue with the master cylinder.

I'm not hopeful of BMW being able to diagnose and resolve it as it's seemingly random, has anyone else had this issue with the F30?

Yeah actually! I had that issue but it did it so rarely I didn't mention it.

More fool me, apparently the automatic boot open/close will have to completely fail for it to be covered by warranty - intermittently not working is not sufficient :confused: wtf

What is it with dealers? Every Warranty issue I've ever had has been dealers coming out with random rubbish rather than BMW themselves declining the claim. If it's broken it's broken!
 
Pictures of the 2018 Z4 concept seem to be leaking (ie have been issued ahead of time) onto the web and from the pictures I have seen it looks magnificent. If it resembles these images and they get the engines, weight, steering and balance right, it could sell in cake loads!
 
I suspect it will be a softer version with an accountants eye having done their work, but if it looks like this and drives better than any before then I can see them stealing from the Boxster with its 4 cylinder engines.
 
That looks closer to the 6 series. Shame it's lost some curves but it does look good.

A few generations down the line the front bumper will completely disappear and it'll just be a huge grille/pair of nostrils.
