BMW and M Power Owners

Tried it last night, it does show up in the HUD (2014 5 series)

Scroll + click is less convenient than having a simple previous/next set of buttons on the VW steering wheel though

The sat nav on my 135i has been randomly rebooting of late, then a couple of days ago when it rebooted all my saved places were gone, and no recent destinations. Oddly menu options are no wmissing as well, little or nothing beneath the connected drive options and the messages menu has gone as well. I used to be able to send the car a message from google maps, open it in the car and use it for directions. No more :-(

Guess a visit to BMW is in order.

Connected drive requires a subscription for some functions after the initial 3 years...you might be seeing two unrelated issues if your car has just gone over three years old.

I'm still being drawn to that 335i at Tanyard Motors that I posted earlier even though some of my sense are saying stay away based upon the links that were posted here.

I got a friend who live in Manchester to pay them a visit yesterday and his opinion was the car looked and drove great and the person who he spoke to was nice enough.

I know this is a decision for me and me only but again looking for words of wisdom. Also how easy of lengthy is the process to swap over private plates if I decide to view and buy? Looking on the web it seems that it can be done online there and then but if I part-ex my car what happens to the V5 on my current car and the new car?

Haven't seen any links to a 335i posted recently?

I may be way off but could you not go used approved with a bit more money?

I've already upped my limit from 15k to 20k to this and would really like to not spend any more. I can see that there if I wait around I might be able to get a 340i for 26k but would really prefer to spend less.

So that car has now been sitting at that dealership for 2 months and you say it's already 3k cheaper than the cheapest AUC 340i.

My senses are tingling here... and not in a good way!

I guess the extra 3k (at least) for a 340i buys a newer and later model, can’t see how you can compare the 2. That 335i is for example 2-3k more than a 2013 335i, basing this on what I see on AT.

No point arguing with strangers on the internet. You've asked for opinions and most of us think you should probably pass on this car. If you think we are all wrong then just go and buy it... it might be in perfect shape, we certainly don't know as none of us have seen it, all we can go on is AUC prices and the dealer's reputation

Who me :D Nobody is arguing. I just thought that comparing it to a newer 340i wasn't fair that's all. To buy a decent AUC 340i I'd be looking at around 30k, 26k is the cheapest I have seen one for sale privately that's all.

I've never had any of those issues described. Mine literally works flawlessly with the only irritation being when I press phone it takes me to the phonebook as default every time.

Thanks for all the feedback on iDrive, good to know how it works for others. Think I will treat it to a trip to the dealership for some further investigation.

Replacement mirror glass arrived. Time to get mine fixed! Woop woop.

Wow, seems to have taken a long time for that to get to you.

My good lady is driving mine for the first time today so see what spares I need to order after she's wound it round our narrow country lanes :D.

Good luck! If you need some mirror glass let me know, this time next week I may have some going spare!
