BMW and M Power Owners

@Havana_UK have you entered the usual euro car parts 150% off today only, winter only, summer only, it's Monday, it's almost Friday, it's our birthday, it's your birthday, sorry for the email error sale code though?

Ok to be fair it's more like 33% at the mo

£24.78 collected for Bosch from Eurocarparts - its almost half the price, how is that a negligible difference? :p
Is that with some discount code or something? I only looked briefly on my phone but it was about £45 for the front Bosch set I saw on there, and £17 for the back one. Did I just fail at looking?

So, I've had the 530e for a week. Its very nice :) It's much smoother, quieter, and more refined compared to my last car. One would expect that going from an eight year old facelift octavia vrs to a 50k BMW!

Some niggles though. Auto wipers are crap. They either don't come at all in heavy drizzle, or they come on and stay on permanently even when the rain has completely stopped. Auto light is on and it doesn't seem to matter what I do with the sensitivity rocker switch.

Spotify App integration; might as well not be there. Whether the phone is connected to the car via BT or USB, there is about a 2s lag between any command, and even then it only stays live for about 3 songs before it semi disconnects. I say semi; music is still playing, but the spotify function is no longer available and I cannot skip tracks or manipulate the music in any way. I can skip to BT audio and the music picks up immediately, but BT audio is far more basic. Generally the audio isn't great either. I'd expect at least an EQ; being able to change only bass and treble is quite annoying, especially when my last car at least had a middle option, which is usually what needs adjusting the most. I know the speakers and dimensions are different, but I was actually worried at first that driver door speaker was faulty as it sounds like everything is shifted to the passenger side; I had to adjust the balance/fader quite a bit to make it sounds more centred to me.

Tranmission seems nice for the most part, but it's a bit juddery at times, especially when braking; it feels like it's going to stall. I can only assume it's keeping the transmission connected as long as possible to regain some energy into the battery. Sport/Manual mode is fun though :D

E range is to be expected. I managed 13 miles from a full charge on Tuesday, so less than half the claimed 30m. However! However, I had forgotten to disable the preconditioning timer settings I had been playing with the night before, so the car wasted a good portion warming and defrosting itself. A cool feature, which I really like in the frosty mornings, but you have to account for it when planning E driving. Also, I expect the range to go up in the warmer weather and when it's lighter so that I'm not also powering headlights, heating, battery condition etc also.

A little disappointed that a 50k M Sport doesn't have folding mirrors or keyless entry, but I'm not that fussed really.

Sorry for the random wall of text; I was just kind of typing as things came into my head.

Folding mirrors as in it doesn't have them at all, or it doesn't do it when locking the car? If its the latter it can be coded in.

It doesn't need coding it does it as standard with a long press of the lock button, but it it's not a standard option so if it's a lease car it probably hasn't got folding mirrors.

Yeah, no electric folding mirrors. No biggies, but I just would have thought that these basic toys would be on as standard on, what is to me, a premium car.

Very much looking forward to getting more miles on it and the roads to dry a bit so I can open her up a bit.

So, my Idrive reset itself about a dozen times on the way home from work the other morning.
Just looked like it got stuck in a loop, but after about 20 miles it was fine and didn't do anything again?
Then yesterday, the pro nav screen faded out and then cut back in.
Car is a 2012 320D, very strange.

Mine did that in my E89 Z4 and has just started doing it most mornings in my 13 plate F10.

With the Z4 I took it in to the dealer and they updated the idrive software under warranty.
