E92 or F30?
2012 could be either...
He's already said it's an F30. They never did a 316d E92 anyway.
Seems implausibly cheap, I bet awful.

Just wanted some opinions from people who know more about the car that me,You seem to want someone to say "yes", but I think you've already made your mind up.
it is owned by a friend for the past 3 years, do you think its worth a shot?
I mean at that price if I didn't like it I could sell it on in 6 months time for similar money?
He says it has full bmw service history
hes got a new job, different city where he doesn't have to drive to commute, sold his house and is selling his car tooWhy does he want to sell it to you for only 5k?

And my original question was more about how much the engine and drive train were like the 318 and 320.
My mind is not totally made up if I'm honest, I am tempted but want to check everything out about the car first.

But it's worth more than 5k..
he said WBAC offered 5.5k but once he mentioned scratches etc they reduced it to 5k, he said if I match it then I can take itBut it's worth more than 5k..
Family friend replaced an 07 plate e60 M5 (owner from new) with an XFR, he found it better on fuel but lacking the edge of the M5, the M5 was fragile - his was under BMW’s extended warranty - it had a few gearbox issues and the bottom end of the engine rebuilt at huge expense to BMW.I think really need to scratch my V10 M5 itch!
Has anyone here driven both a Jaguar XFR and E60 M5 to be able to compare them?
I sold the XFR last year (no particular reason) and picked up a mega mileage well kitted E60 535d. It was meant to be temporary but I actually really like the E60!
Cheers,
Mal
Daft question of the day - M135i is due its first MOT this month, any reason not to book it into BMW directly? MOT Protect and iDrive showing the "vehicle inspection" completed by BMW rather than 00000 for an independent MOT garage are the two main reasons for me.
The front of the 8 series is ridiculous. Just downright ugly.
