BMW and M Power Owners

It’s worrying when a Hyundai is better looking.

One of the main reasons I went for the M140i is RWD and 6 cyl. There's other cars I'd have over the new one now it's gone 4WD and 4 cyl.

Same. They've alienated pretty much all the buyers of the M135i/140i, but it'll still be a win for them overall. More people seem to want 4 wheel drive for the 2 days a year it snows that want RWD and 6 cyl. The vast majority aren't really interested in cars.

Yep they have lost their USP now. They are in with all the other 300bhp 4cyl 4wd cars now. It will probably be good for residuals on the out going model.

They must be going for new customers as almost every 135 and 140 owner seem to be saying the same thing. I’m just amazed they didn’t go for rear biased xdrive and better aesthetics.

I’ll certainly not be replacing my 135 with the new one and I don’t fancy the hairdressers 240 either.

I would have thought similar but the used market seems to be dropping fairly sharpish from what I've seen.

Mine is almost certainly going to be worth less than the GMFV when I hand it back.

so true lol. my next door neighbour has one. the neighbour opposite me has one, and another one a few doors down.
though i'm surprised that no one's attempted to nick any of them yet lol

Golf R's seem to go missing left right and centre. Modern day Sierra Cosworth, but sadly the nicking involves ***** in your house rather than just waking up and its gone.

Having had a break in for my m135i, I've certainly had second thoughts since about whether having any half decent car is worth the hassle.

I guess the challenge for BMW was that the majority of 1 Series owners are in lower powered variants where the benefits of RWD can not be realised.

that is ugly, very ugly.. what happened to it I have no idea but it looks like a ford fiesta breadvan style! ugly little thing, it's a shame but I'm sure they will sell like hot cakes and I'm sure the performance versions is a very small market for BMW.
