BMW and M Power Owners

They are. Not sure why as if you described them to someone they'd appear to be almost the same but the GT's always look a bit ungainly.
agree the raised back looks like a surgery graft - clarksons memorable description of the chrylser cross-fire comes to mind,
but, if the boot is even more practical, and back seat liveable, I can forgive that; I've only seen one up close in blue, they seem rarer on the roads.
having had a touring the space is not,all that, wheel arch intrusion traded for the good suspension, visibility is good though,
if a GT can be achieved for 2.5K less, and, maybe cheaper insurance, too ?

edit :didn't know - as much rear space as a 5 series, longer wheel base than a 3 too https://youtu.be/snN38iQWNVk?t=86 -

Argh why is the BMW new car finder so rubbish.
If i put a radius of 500 miles I get a max of about 115 miles. So I have to move my location all around the country to get a half decent stock check.

Do BMW dealers have a better system for checking stock.

I found it easier to search Autotrader with the ‘manufacturer approved’ box ticked.

You guys appear to be obsessed with butts, however I doubt if your own is any better ;-) Thing is, who really cares, they're not at all that bad whatsoever...
Yeah kinda had to resort to that.

So found a couple of cars. 1 had the spec and the external colour i really like but has the silverstone colour interior. Having never had anything but black. How bad is a lighter colour to live with.

I have Opal White, which is even lighter than the Silverstone, and it's easy. Like @Robbo said it needs a wipe down now and then to keep it looking clean but it's easy to do. I really like light interiors in general - I think they brighten the car up no end.

Short update...after a few days of not really using the car apart from a couple of school runs the EML had gone off. Car was driving fine (I'd not noticed any issues myself even with the EML on), and I had the need to make a longer trip about an hour each way when the car behaved faultlessly. I then went climbing on Thursday night, still no EML, car running fine, but on the way back it crapped its pants, dashboard lights up, "drivetrain malfunction, full performance not available, continue driving at moderate speed, contact your BMW service center" on the iDrive, cut power completely went into limp mode and is definitely missing at least one cylinder. It sounds like a bag of spanners on cold start and vibrates away like mad at idle!

I'd planned to cancel the dealership appointment the following morning, so pleased I hadn't already done so! It's in the dealership tomorrow so hopefully now it's not an intermittent problem should be straightforward for them to fix.
Further update - BMW warranty is good!

The problem, as suspected, is a coil pack; it's all being replaced. The dealership did their "health check" and found:
- broken rear coil spring (I'd suspected this as I always thought the car sat about 5mm lower on one side than the other but couldn't see any issue myself despite looking about a dozen times) - being replaced
- diff seal weeping - being replaced
- suspension bumpstops perished - being replaced

All of this is being done under warranty with a single excess payment, pretty happy with that.

is that all under the BMW Warranty that you got with the car after buying it approved used or is that the Warranty you purchased?

Awesome news.

Impressive then. How much was your excess if you don’t mind?
I have the £250 excess.
I’m sure @Havana_UK can answer on his policy but it is something you can choose when you buy it (and the price changes accordingly)
Correct, and there was a pretty sizeable price difference between the £100 excess and the £250. I've got the warranty for peace of mind and to protect me from massive costs, e.g. new engine/gearbox etc. so I don't mind the higher excess for the lower premiums.
This. That’s excellent service if you ask me.
I thought so too, especially seeing as it went in for one specific issue and they've added the other bits to the worksheet.
It is good but you get what you pay for. The warranty isn't cheap.
It's not cheap at almost £1100 per year (that's the <60k miles price, but paid monthly to keep it at the lower price bracket), but it gives me certainty about repair costs which I want.
