BMW and M Power Owners

Three early videos posted.

M2 might be the last pure petrol M car. Hopefully they redo the front end a bit.

Externally, it looks hideous. It's like they've taken the outgoing model and then completely ruined the front and rear. It doesn't seem to match up with BMWs design language on other recent models or facelifts.

Anyone know what engine the new m240 is going to have?

Topping the range will be the all-wheel-drive BMW M240i xDrive Coupé from BMW M. This performance-focused model is powered by a 275 kW/374 hp six-cylinder in-line engine. Variants with four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines channelling their power to the road through the rear wheels will also available.

White looks okay but theres something quite Mercedes to that roof line into decklid section.

Very encouraging to see a normal front grille.
Agreed. I don't know what BMW is doing with their current design thinking and I am confident it will be frowned on like the Bangle designs were. I have looked and looked at the new M3/4 and I just can't get its looks. Awful to my eyes.

Sometimes I have moments of insanity, where I think “it’s not too bad I guess”

Then I wake up

At some angles the new M3/M4 and 4 Series can look ok, it's certainly a striking design, but on the whole I'm not really sold on it.

That new 2 Series looks quite good, however the headlights now look a bit bland, I hope they don't drop the 'halo' design or whatever you want to call it, although they're getting smaller and flatter as times goes on (see new 3 Series).

It’s one claim/job though, surely? One excess payment seems pretty standard to me.

seems other manufacturers have no extended warranty excesses, mercedes specificially, don't seem to offer non-zero excesses on quotes I'd made;
so, it only seems competitive, if BMW (at a minimum) charge excess once on multiple issues handled in one job,
nonetheless grouping your claims would sound prudent.

I think the M4 in particular is a messy design. The front is obviously not to my liking, but just like the previous M4 but more so, there is something not quite right with the side profile towards the back and the wheels, amazingly, look small in the arches.

Don't like it all, pictures or on the flesh.

I'm with you there Housey...I also didn't especially like the old M4 either (M3 I think looks great, obviously!).

If I were in a position to buy new I'd order this: https://configure.bmw.co.uk/en_GB/configid/2ymzxe5r
(Basically my F80 in G80 guise!). I think the big nostrils disappear quite well into the dark blue.

Too much body at the back for my liking, looks lots of metal making the arches look small and disjointed to my eyes.

The E46 is such a perfect design to my eyes.
