I read ages ago the m3 and m4 had quite spikey power delivery on the standard cars. People had better traction after a remap

The only LSD I'd fit would be a wavetrac but it's mega money with my setup.
Yep. The early ones overpower the rear wheels. Later ones and competition pack are much better for it but it’s still an engine making a lot low down. Last proper M was the V8 anyway of course :p

Mine's a late 2018 competition, so it should be at the smoother end of the scale. It still feels quite 90's turbo charged which is fun when it's dry, not so fun in the wet but then again it's a near 450 bhp car so I need to learn to drive it accordingly. I won't be remapping it as I'm keeping the warranty.

Today I replaced my standard gear knob in my E85 LCI Z4 with a genuine ZHP one. IMO it massively improves the gearchange throw and feel, nice and 'weighty' compared to the original one :D. Decent price too from an online BMW dealer, £59 delivered next day.

Don't buy a 4 series then because it's just a 3 Series with a hatchback :p

Actually if the car you're looking at is that one with the black wheels it's just a 2 door 3 Series (they don't seem to have a GC?) :p
No you’re right, it’s a 3 door!

and then these too:

I would actually consider an M235i too if they’re attainable.

Exactly. Never gonna grip and go at WOT in the wet. Must be fine in the dry?

Much improved! Did this to my old E46 and it really lifted the interior. Feels nicer too.

Hi guys, I've found a car at a BMW dealership, I've sorted my own finance etc.

They want 1k deposit to secure the car!? Does that sound right?

I expected £200-£300 pounds, but 1k seems a little steep. :)

Quite normal in these times mate, they ask for larger amounts now typically. Plus its BMW so all fine, if your worried just use a credit card.

It was £500 when I last did it. Doesn't sound particularly unusual as long as there's an agreement you can have it back if the car isn't as described (even at a BMW main dealer, they can be dodgy).

Make sure you pay it on the credit card but it does sound a lot, normally I would expect no more than £500 but it does also depend on how much the car is
