BMW and M Power Owners

Not known of any Audi having a CVT gearbox unless it was in the 1990's, they are either DCT or ZF automatics. The DCT one I had in my A4 was very good..
You dont know your Audis then :p Loads of them had CVT gearboxes, they were known as the multitronic boxes. It is what put me off audis for years. BMW always had very reliable and good ZF torque converter boxes.

Would much rather have the E220 than the white bmw you linked to.

see I think that gen E class is terrible, my dad had a 2013 pre-facelift one that i borrowed for a few months before buying my 2010 e92, and the e92 was a much nicer car to drive....unless the facelift did something drastic...

Facelift 2013 was a massive step up by MErc to reclaim their crown with the E class. The interior was massively improved.

The 2013 E class was all about luxury and ride quality and competed with the A6 and 5 series not the 3 series. It certainly wont be sporty or exciting to drive, you need a different Merc if that is what you are after.

But as a luxury car to travel in comfort, Id take one over the white BMW linked to. A hell of lot more car for the money.

It was still rubbish. It wasn't until the new model in 2016, which really is very good, that Mercedes had a credible competitor again.

The W212 was good for about a year against the E60 until that got replaced. I had an AMG Night Edition runout model for the weekend as a rental once.

It was never a credible F10 rival imho. Whereas the W213 really is a very good car.

If you were buying a Mercedes between 2014 and 2016 you'd have been better off with a C Class, which because of the odd sequence of Mercedes generations was a thoroughly more modern car.

Edit: for 12k instead of that 3 series though obviously it's a better car.

The $500 reduction in price is a bet derisory though. You lose touchscreen and auto parking.

Still better than what Mercedes offered me for £3000 of deleted options - £0.

Rarely use the touch screen in new BMWs so this isn't a huge loss, the idrive controller is still the best way to control it.

Touchscreen qwerty keyboard is by far the better way for entering destinations in the nav, the rotary alphabet is heinous and the handwriting recognition always gets it wrong despite me having the advantage of being a lefty.
