For sure the new designs aren’t for everyone.
People‘s views on the Bangle designs ~20 years ago were the same and time has done those well.
Car design is really polarising - people moan about about dull, boring designs and also do the same when something different and interesting comes along */shrug
I see your point but bangle designs didn’t look like cat sick.

Yeah that front grille is fine on the new 4 series imo, but looks rubbish on an suv. Those squared wheel arches dont help either.
Hate to say it but far east car makers are making more stylish suv's than BMW these days.

Agreed. Normally I think Grey's are boring but that looks good.

Too many answers here in the context of an iX!
You know you've lost the plot jpaul when even something as polarising as the iX grill still results in a flipping question.
The previous gen x5 wasn't terrible. Quite like the Aston. Kia do some nice models.
I was going to tag onto my post you don't have to run faster than the bear ... , but thought that would insensitive post callum.
probably need to see iX in the flesh to comment ... like Beyoncee.

If you like the Aston you'll love the Kuga.
The iX is an interesting one. I think the rear looks OK, the front is challenging but it's certainly unusual...
Looks best in black, it's less jarring. The interior isn't bad but it's quite plain (like many EV's I suppose).

Speaking of SUV's, my BMW UK courtesy car for the below situation was dropped off last week and it's a new X5 45e M Sport. It's quite pleasant although I am missing the 7 Series in some respects - makes a nice change though. I also can't plug it in so the economy is fairly average (although more than acceptable for a 400bhp 2.4 ton SUV).
Booked for an initial 3 months...

Had a 'refill coolant' message on my 7 Series yesterday, been to BMW and there's a leak from the EGR cooler (part of which was replaced some time ago as a recall).
Needs an entirely new part and isn't considered safe to drive, but they are on backorder for potentially several months...
BMW UK have agreed to supply an equivalent car (7 Series requested) until mine is fixed, so just waiting to hear...
