BMW and M Power Owners

Engine/spec? Looks good!

Its a 5 month old M50i, spec wise it has Ivory Merino leather, Tech/comfort plus packs plus quite a few other bits and pieces added on. Importantly it has the factory fitted tow bar so can drag the caravan around. :)

M50i, nice V8 right there.

Not soo nice on the fuel compared to the lovely 40d MHT.

Dravit is stunning, enjoy the beast :D

Very nice! Good work on the V8 instead of the diesel!;)

Collecting my new 330e Msport Touring on Friday next week.
Brooklyn grey, 19”black alloys, the oyster beige leather, Msport pro pack, tech pack and comfort pack. It looks mean.
Can’t wait

The B58 in the X3 was a tough act to follow but the X5 version felt a bit under powered in comparison. The V8 N63 feels and sounds like the next step up, as a bonus I have a 5 year service plan on it too.

Got a rear air suspension issue on the G31 this morning, both sides are down and chassis error in idrive :(

Never used the insured warranty before, but will give them a call shortly. Does someone normally come out to you (I have the roadside assistance too) or are you expected to take it to a dealer if it's deemed drivable?

If you have roadside assistance, get them to come to you. BMW are very good at this side of things.

What sort of fuel consumption should I expect from a G31 530/540d xDrive Touring? Low-30s around town and low 50s on the motorway?

Low 20s to mid 40s it is then :D

I should really get a hybrid but the batteries eating into the boot space just won't cut it and I really don't want to go back to a 4-pot diesel.

No points for guessing which is more fun to drive:

And no points for guessing the winner, but the E46 there was on semi-slicks so the 3.xs lead on the G80 isn't as massive as one would assume without knowing this.

Old is gold :p

I collected a M140i at the weekend.

It was a 2017 model that I paid probably well over the odds for given the cost of everything being high right now but it was in the colour and spec (Pro Nav, Harman Kardon, etc) I wanted, with the M Performance Exhaust, full BMW service carried out every year like clockwork, and in immaculate condition; well looked after by previous owners. I've been after an M140i for a while and kept an eye on second hand car prices and they have been a bit silly but that was the same for any other performance hot hatch I was looking at.

Mind you, that was all forgotten about on the drive home :D

Quite a bit of step up from a Fiesta ST!

I probably should have waited for the second hand car market to calm down but we needed the extra doors and more boot space. The ST was just an interim purchase to get rid of a Pug 308 GTi that was throwing up ridiculous repair bills for a 3 year old car; it just wasn't reliable. The ST gave me trouble free motoring a bit of profit from the 308 sale. I thought I could make the 3 doors and compact size work and as it was only me primarily using it and I could 90% of the time. The moment we went out as a family (wife plus a teenage daughter, occasionally the dog as well) then things would get a bit tight. We also have a couple of UK breaks and holidays planned. I also got fed up of the moans of having to climb through to the rear seats.
