BMW and M Power Owners

Have I missed something the past couple of weeks?

Checked beginning of May regarding the price of an oil & filter change at my local dealers, £220

Skip to today, now quoting £325!

Bought a used BMW a month or so again. BMW's PCP rate was 12.8%. Got it down to under 9% through a broker (would have been lower but I've only been in the UK since Feb so limited UK address history).

New offers definately better than used from what I've seen.
9%!? Makes me sick how much they are profiting.

Bank loan or no car imo.

Need a new AGM battery for my 2011 M3 as it’s throwing loads of codes which have gone since charging for 5 days on a Ctek but it’s probably a matter of time till it goes.

Any recommendations please as FB didn’t get anywhere and Cotswold bmw no longer deliver batteries

Sorry wasn’t clear. Looking for a genuine battery. The BMW intelligent battery system needs the right rating and needs to be AGM. Current is a 92Ah beast

So I did a thing.

Spoke to Warwick BMW... Car's booked in on the 22nd. to install... an MPPSK kit.

Nice deal with interest free finance.

This car is going to be a long term keep, so want to be reserved on the Engine tuning side of things. The MPPSK tune is pretty reserved at a 35HP increase. And the Exhaust looks great and sounds great on videos.

I think I'd rather just not upgrade the car than take out finance on the upgrade. It's not like it's not a good car standard is it?

Nothing wrong taking out finance.

In fact, it can be better for cash flow.

Better to have 2.5k working for you than giving that as a lump sum over.

If I have the option to buy something on 0% interest, I'll always take it, as it's cheaper for me long term, especially with inflation at the moment.

With less than 9 weeks till this year's Nurburgring trip I thought it was about time I started my suspension refresh on my 2013, 95k F20 M135i.

The old adaptive suspension has seen better days so is getting swapped out for some Bilstein B8 shocks and Birds B1 springs. Whilst I'm at it I'm also fitting M4 lower control arms and tension struts, along with new top mounts, M Performance bump stops, drop links, inner tie rods, and track rod ends. Once I've managed to get everything fitted it'll be going along to Williams Performance for an alignment and to get the adaptive dampers coded out.

Managed to get the rears fitted tonight, and all going well the fronts will follow next week.

Following on from this I've finally managed to get the front end works completed.

With a multitude of weapons I managed to get all the old parts off:

New parts ready to be fitted:

And all done:

The car's booked in with Williams Performance on Thursday.to get set up, then off to the Nurburgring on the 28th

Thought I would drop this in here as some epic CSL goodness. A great video from our recent Ring trip when Micha took my mate Chris out in his CSL.

Managed to catch and pass me, I have 300 excuses why but my braking tells you I am still working out which the last 1/3 of track goes but also, as Chris mentions, I was in my mirrors thinking "how the **** has Chris caught me"

I was a little bit meh as to his pace having only seen his videos online, but having followed him he knows the track so well and had the car so nicely moving around.

LOL literally just had the video in my recommendations and wondered if it was your car then saw you in the comments.

So I'm getting quite tempted to swap out the chrome grills for black gloss.

Now before all the hate comments/thread bans - hear me out :p

The car already has the gloss black trim around the doors/wing mirrors, so it's purely because it's annoying me a little that it doesn't match.

What are your thoughts?

Black grills look better IMO.
