BMW and M Power Owners

Yep it's xdrive but on a FWD platform, so it sends power to the front as standard and then to the rear when needed
"When needed" is fine by me. Sounds similar to the AMG A35 I had. Pretty sure that favoured the front as well until required elsewhere.

Decided to keep the grilles in chrome.

The car just looks so right to me. I miss my F31 dearly - I thought it looked very muscular and angry, but the E88 is a very timeless design IMO and one of the best convertibles.

I don't regret getting rid of the S5 one bit, and my insurance even halved in price :P

My first foray into BMW land. Pick her up tomorrow (hopefully). 2 Series Gran Coupe M235i XDrive in metallic Skyscrapper Grey with Pro Pack.

It does more or less exactly the same as the Haldex system as fitted to the A3/S3. I found this forum https://www.babybmw.net/forums/#bmw-1-2-series-mainline-models.36 a good source for information. You can go to the f40 thread which is normally busier, same platform but hatchback.
If you need some info on dashcams, I fitted my own, or tuning, did have a tuning box for while, then ping me a message..

Although I think the 2 is nearly a 3 series whereas the 1 is more of a 1 series. Or something like that.

The 2 Series is the most confusing car in the BMW range.

There is the 2 Series Gran Coupe that is really a 1 Series saloon. Then there is the 2 Series Coupe which is a shorter 3 Series. They are completely different cars and I don't know why BMW calls them both the 2 Series. The engines, gearboxes, platform and interiors are all different.

Both are good cars, just very different.

Don't forget the 2 series active tourer :p

yes - new version looks better as the taller grill makes the steep bonnet rake down from windscreen/high-roof less obvious, which is the horrible aspect of the design,
nonetheless, same chassis as mini/X1? ... so should drive the same and, could be the pragmatic choice.
