Which sucks and is only useful in 90% of driving conditionsYep it's xdrive but on a FWD platform, so it sends power to the front as standard and then to the rear when needed

"When needed" is fine by me. Sounds similar to the AMG A35 I had. Pretty sure that favoured the front as well until required elsewhere.Yep it's xdrive but on a FWD platform, so it sends power to the front as standard and then to the rear when needed
Welcome to the select club and don't let the haters troll you..My first foray into BMW land. Pick her up tomorrow (hopefully). 2 Series Gran Coupe M235i XDrive in metallic Skyscrapper Grey with Pro Pack.
It does more or less exactly the same as the Haldex system as fitted to the A3/S3. I found this forum https://www.babybmw.net/forums/#bmw-1-2-series-mainline-models.36 a good source for information. You can go to the f40 thread which is normally busier, same platform but hatchback."When needed" is fine by me. Sounds similar to the AMG A35 I had. Although I think the 2 is nearly a 3 series whereas the 1 is more of a 1 series. Or something like that.
Don't forget the 2 series active tourerThe 2 Series is the most confusing car in the BMW range.
There is the 2 Series Gran Coupe that is really a 1 Series saloon. Then there is the 2 Series Coupe which is a shorter 3 Series. They are completely different cars and I don't know why BMW calls them both the 2 Series. The engines, gearboxes, platform and interiors are all different.
Both are good cars, just very different.

Looks at home in the current BMW range.Oh sweet lord. That's horrendous.
Thank you. That looks really nice. Great colour combination and good wheels!
