BMW and M Power Owners

It's not " very uncompetitively priced" at all. I paid £17 for 5 litres of the stuff and bare in mind the BMW stuff is down to -63 which means you can dilute it many times more than the 3rd party guff you buy, meaning it goes much further.

And yes 3rd party stuff will lead to sludging in the tank and pump, which are both difficult to get to.

I'm sorry to burst your BMW bubble but in fact as far as screenwash goes it is fairly overpriced.

You can pick up 20L of VW/Audi screenwash - go check out detailingworld on how good it is and that costs £13 for 20L! It is rated to -70C!

All I'll say is....its bloody screenwash...

Bought 6 NGK plugs for the e46 this evening. 42ish from ecp not too bad. Missed the 50 percent off ( for this month) so only got 30.

Halfrauds would have been slightly cheaper on a trade card if only they would sell 6 and not 8

Where can you get 20l of VW/Audi branded screenwash from for £13?

Did you buy it directly from BMW for that price, or online? What sort of mix ratio are you using?

Yeah, just went into the dealers. Then asked for a 10% discount which they did. Although you can get it for the same price online if you pay £2 delivery.

As Jez said, you can dilute it right down and it still is effective. I keep mine at 1:4 though. My last 5 litre container lasted me a year + it smells of bubblegum too.

How the heck can 5l last a year? I use 5l in about 2 weeks this time of year. Salt doesn't mess up your screen any less no matter what screenwash you use..

Getting my E46 tomorrow. Looking forward to it. I wish I had never changed my cars so many times over the years, if I had saved up I probably could be in a 135i now :P

Never mind! Will get some pictures up once I have it. Its quite tidy, wheels could do with a refurb though. Not quite as clean as my 52 plate, but I did own that 5/6 years ago now. Time goes fast.

Because 5litres conc dilutes down to about 20-25litres and since my screenwash bottle holds about 5l it means I fill it up once every 2-3months.

Most of the time it's raining so don't need water bottle. And even if I do I just give a quick squirt to wet the windscreen.

In the summer, I give a quick blast once or twice which gets the bugs off without a problem. And in the summer I washed the car once or twice a week.

Tbh I too was shocked how little I use, I only just filled it up the other day and cannot remember the last time I did it before that.

Must be the BMW magic ingredients in it ;)

I use bugger all tbh I've had my 330d for almost a year now and can only remember fiiling it twice....

Just driven my 330Ci auto back home, 90 mile trip, 34.5 MPG. I could have got better if I didn't have one or two moments of weakness. Saw 35 MPG at one point. Who needs a diesel :D

Tbh 40mpg+ from 230bhp is pretty dam good, regardless of fuel type.

The biggest problem the newer diesel 6 has is that the petrols are so economical ( relative to size)

Whipped the horrible head unit out this morning and started putting it and the adapters etc on eBay.

Are the grom USB/android adapters decent then? I can't think of any other decent options for what I want ( happy with usb input tbh, phone a bonus, didn't really use the streaming once I had a 32gb USB stick plugged in)

found a car I'm interested in buying

is an E90 SE with M Sport suspension (often I see the other way round M Sport with M Sport suspension deletion) - a strange mix ?

you loose the looks, and sports seats (prob more an issue) - but any other issues ?

Not sure why you'd want it tbh?

If you're going to have the horrid ride you'd want the looks to go with it - and the seats like you say.

Might not really bother you in principal but unless it's very cheap (meaning you'll be able to move it on again cheaply) you will probably struggle to sell it when you're done

mmm ok thanks - did seem a bit of a strange combo - but so few manual straight 6s come up (especially at AUC) reasonably locally I'm considering all options

was a 2010 up for 15k so not exactly cheap - was well specced though

I found a 330 M Sport, but N52 engine on an 06 plate - up for 10.5 - seemed ok but quite a lot of money for an 06 plate car (maybe)
