BMW and M Power Owners

They make the interiors look nicer each time because the interior gets uglier by the second so need some way to keep people inside the car from barfing their guts out.

I thought the pug faced 1 series was bad enough, how could BMW styling get any worse? Well... Now we know.

Odd times when investigating braking issues on the osf today.

Caliper was dragging quite badly, to the point where it took a serious beating to get it off the carrier. Took it off, removed the pads ( which are fine) and it looks.....perfect. Piston fine, seals absolutely fine with no fluid getting past them etc.

I've just cleaned and lubed it up for now winding it back in / out a few times and stuck it all back together. Vibration gone and the car is behaving itself much better under braking now - though that wheel the abs is definitely kicking in too early so I'll need to clean the sensor as a minimum....which would have been a good idea whilst everything was off but never mind.

If it happens again I guess I'll just need to replace the caliper.

Lunch then look at the back of the car this afternoon

Swapped the E60 for this today

Best drag the e39 out the brambles

E39 for a while till I find a van I can buy through my business most likely an amarok or hi lux.

Gave the Russians £30 for 3 hrs cleaning as it was filthy and mouldy inside. Been driving around in it all morning. It'll do.

Is this strong money for an 88,000 mileage car? It's one of the youngest 330Ci manuals I found in a while.

I've arranged to view it tomorrow pending a talk with the dealer in the morning (it's not close, as you can see), I'm just going to run over a few things, notably the service issues that have arisen and if things like wish bones and bushes have been sorted. There's a scuff on the bumper as well, I guess that will be part of the bargaining process. No interior shots seems poor show too.

Don't be swayed by what is a brilliant car, 99% of the population won't be looking at that because it's not a 2ltr diesel, remind the dealer and phrase your negotiations with words like "it's only because I do so few miles I can afford to run it" bang on about the tax not being £15 a year

Wrong rear light cluster sections on the trunk lid for what the LED cluster is supposed to have as well no?

yeah that's what I meant by not bothering with the bot lid and inner lights, annoys me that people try and sell something what its not

I guess the awkwardly done up exterior matches the awkwardly poor quality of the E9x factory interior now :p

I picked up a E39 530D M Sport Manual nice and cheap on ebay, we were going to get an E46 M3 Coupe, but decided to save up for a better one so this is to be used in the mean time. The original ebay buyer messed the seller around so I got it for less than expected :)

Some of the ebay pics;

It doesn't have nav, just some crappy radio, CD changer and tape etc. Can I still fit one of these Eonon/DynAvin units? Or am I stuck with the tape player?

The only other thing its lacking which I would like is heated/memory seats - it just has normal grey Sports seats, I am going to look into this but if anyone has any ideas or knows if it is a simple/difficult upgrade then give me a shout :)

Looks nice from the pics at least. Bit of an odd car to buy at its age given the engine, but tbh its still a nice unit even today, so of it was the right price then why not I guess.

You can fit a dynavin easily, though I would question it's worth tbh, seats are simple too so long as you aren't previous about the memory function working - but good luck finding some

After owning 2 E46 's and one E90 not quite sure what you mean? Imo the E90 is superior in every way with possibly one exception being the ride qualitt which will be due to the run flats , certainly couldn't go back now

Took some pictures of my recently acquired 330, already posted elsewhere, but hey, this is the BMW thread :)

Car looks in lovely condition, I'll need to go over mine for the summer as the exterior is currently looking a bit sorry for itself but I've run out of the megs 105/205 so have to acquire some first. New NSF wing required too, bit of bubbling starting on the lip
