BMW and M Power Owners

The 335i was designed to offer 8 cylinder performance for 6 cylinder costs, which is very much what it does. This means it's still loads more money to run than a Fiesta but if you are used to something like a 325i or similar you'll find the running costs pleasing.

I'm currently running an FN2 so fuel economy isn't really an issue, I believe the 335i should return better even on the older models (E90). I'm unfamiliar with BMW servicing costs but would likely be a specialist rather than main dealer and I cover 6-7k a year so I am used to one annual service.

If you cover 6-7k a year you will likely require servicing only every 2 years. The warranty cost on a 335i starts at £40 a month depending on the level of cover you desire.

To be honest a warranted 335i is probably the cheapest to run 300bhp car you will find.

Coming from an FN2 I'd imagine that none of the things that wound me up about the 335i will bother you at all, so it sounds like an excellent upgrade.

That's pretty much what I wanted to hear, thank you for the reply. It's on my (very) short-list of next cars, it's the grown up car choice.

It is when you are used to a Honda interior and bouncing off the limiter to get any power.

Slightly unfair but yes I know what you mean. Would be nice to have some power available on the lower-mid rev range that I can actually utilise on my daily commute. Is yours an auto? I've never driven one but I'm certainly not opposed to it for 'easy street'.

Not what you need when you get back from hols :( It could be the battery matey..I had similar symptoms when mine was on its last legs.

Whatever it is I hope it's nice and simple to sort..keep us updated.

Got it all sorted a few days ago thankfully :) gave it a jump and got it going, has been working fine since.

Aesthetically it's not much different certainly, performance wise obviously it has an 'advantage'. Thing is, I often feel the FN2 has more than enough so I don't think I'd be disappointed with the 335i. I really need to test drive one but don't want to just yet as I'm not in a position to buy.
I don't care about posing so I suppose you are right, for me it's definitely not worth it.

Have these new I8 pics been posted?
