BMW and M Power Owners

Im looking at a BMW approved used car which has 75k on the clock, could anyone tell me what warranty would come with this vehicle? Is it the comprehensive or is there a reduced level of cover?

If comprehensive, do you get the option to extend at the end of the 12 months?

Thanks,

Russ

It's currently being built. Getting a little excited :D

Found out as another Adam on PH ordering the exact same colour and spec, with the order placed with the same finance company on the same date :p

Looks in decent condition but with that stick on M badge on the boot lid you can imagine how it's been driven day in day out. Usually only a certain kind of owner does that...

Oh no as in it most likely will have been ragged up and down a lot without much mechanical sympathy.

Hmm my car has no stick on tat but I do rag the arsenal off it, can always get rid of the sticker as it does look out of place. What about the price? Private seller as well so real room for negotiations.

It's first impressions above all else really, personally I'd close the tab at that point. The same with people advertising cars where there's crap all over the floors as it's not been vacuum cleaned before taking the photos or a car with 4 pictures all from the same angle and no interior shots and so on. It just doesn't say "this person actually cared" to me.

It could very well be fine though of course.

Is this car priced way too high? According to parkers it should at around 17k is?

Looks fairly reasonable to me, though I wouldnt want to spend that much on an E90. It's one of the very last, good spec, although annoyingly missing Xenons meaning you get crappy 318d style headlights.

Parkers pricing ignores options. I sold my 335i for £2k over Parkers price because Parkers values a base car with no satnav, and no satnav is a kiss of death for residuals on these.

would I be assuming correct that if I was to get a 320d with AUC warranty - I'd be covered for any potential chain issues ? or is it a non issue anyway ?

thanks

I'm coming closer and closer to keeping the e46 (though looking at a 130i at the moment that could change that, lot of money for a 2006 car though i.e £8k) as I really just can't find anything that I think is worth spending the extra money on. Everything seems to involve spending at least another £5k on top of the cars quick sell value to get something that's...well worse in some way.

If I do keep it i'll really need to sort out a dog solution. Problem I have is that the little guy is aboslutely hyperactive so keeping him from making a complete mess of the back when he's been out and about is really difficult. I'm trying to think of creative solutions to prevent this.

I bought a cheap (deliberately as i wasn't sure it'd work) seat cover for the back and used that when we were away for a week with him coupled with a short lead I can loop through the seatbelt fixings and onto a harness to restrict him a bit. Whilst it protects the seats themselves it doesn't really deal with the bolsters where the 60/40 split doesn't reach, or the rear arm rests and leather trim at the windows.

I've seen the likes of the custom protectors from overthetop but trying to actually see a specific example of what it protects is really difficult.

Also considered doing something like getting a custom box built that I can stick in the boot, stick mutley in and fold down the back seats so he can still see out. As he is only a cocker spaniel he shouldn't ever really be big enough not to stand up/ turn around etc. It's an expensive solution to find out it doesn't really work though, it's not like there will be many people looking to take it back off my hands if I get one!

Any other creative solutions?
