BMW and M Power Owners

Mine was specced without the coms package so didn't have the phone, looks much better without that dated thing stuck in there.

Yeah the brick definately won't be staying. I believe there's a tray I can fit that looks less like a space for a missing phone.

Installing it is fun :p

yeah I bet it is! Well I'm going there anyway as I already have a black carpet to fit and my seat heating retrofit to wire up, so a few birds in one stone :).

This was supposed to be the more frugal family wagon initially.....

She didnt care what as long as it was estoril blue, I chose an estoril blue 4.6 V8 Is, had it a few years now and love its comforts, nice to be up high every once in a while compared to the impreza. Thirstier than a 3xx stage 4 WRX too and the X5 is standard! lol.

You are taking out the cream interior?!?!

Nah no way! Love the cream - always have since my Omega and old XJ6 before that. But cream carpet is a big no no practically. Could just get black mats but then I quite like the slight two-tone I have going on with the black dash/door tops and sport headlining, so thought I'd balance that up a little with a full black carpet. That'll do me - dont want to take the two-tone to Champagne II levels - too much black for me.

Always thought if I ever found a leather centre console I'd dye it to mach the cream (cos let's face it I'll never actually find a cream leather centre console). And then fail to match the colour and be forced to re-dye the whole interior so it looks even spanglier and newer, etc etc. But actually I think the centre console in black may work fine. We'll see :)

The guy has zero credibility, check his history. At best, if you exclusively believe him above everyone else, he has made all sorts of very terrible life choices combined with some very bad luck, at worst he is a known scammer, liar and all round horrible person (according to everyone else who has commented)

I'll let you decide which is more likely.

Wow hurfdurf pops up again to **** me off, what a shock from someone who knows nothing about me and just believes what he reads on the internet.

Does anyone on this entire forum know me in real life........nope, does anyone at all know me from any forum......i can only think of about 3 people which are close friends.

I would ask why all the hate, what is the reason you throw abuse my way, im generally interested, you felt the need to try and drag my own thread through the dirt so i do want to know why you believe im such a horrible person? or is it because someone else on here who i have never met or had interaction on here said so?

Eh? How so cheap? Aren't they some sort of Dunlop semi-slicks? (sure I saw Dunlop on the first pic you posted of em).
Anyway, now you know what the shadowline trim is (the black trim round the windows/B-pillar). Yours is glossy and mine is matt black. If you're M5 is becomming a track ****, how do you fancy doing a swap as I'd quite like the high gloss shadowline? Some cash your way too of course. This is providing they are good and not bubbling/peeling lacquer etc.
Same proposal for your extended leather centre console trim. You dont understand how much I want it. Plus yours is the wrong colour giving me a great excuse to consider redying all my leather :).
Then again you've fitted facelift bits and asked about nav/audio - are you keeping it straight?

Yes as mentioned before they are a dunlop slick in wet compound cut to inter tread depth, imagine a very sticky 888 and your about there.
They heat up quickly because of the wet compound but because they dont have 'blocks' cut into them like traditional full wet tyre the blocks cant move around and over heat making them great when the tarmac is cool/damp like 90% of englands whether is.

Ill have to have a look at my trim tomorow, but last time i looked i never saw any bubbling etc.

The reason i asked about Nav and fitted the facelift style bits(my rear lights were full of mold) at first because i wasnt really sure what i wanted to do with it, since i only really use it now for abusing im not bothered about Nav and i have a tomtom if i really cant be bothered to use google maps

Next thing i like to do is pull some weight out of it, my best mate makes carbon fibre panels and ive agreed for him to make me a bonnet and boot, ive got a pair of corbearu pro series kevlar seats in the garage and its tempting to fit them and save the 120kg, but for the moment im enjoying the 2 sides to the car so ill just make weight savings that dont effect comfort(panels, smaller battery).....probably give it a couple of years when i fancy a change ill probably strip it to within an inch of its life and sell all the interior, the money from what should mean the car owes me hardly anything. I think 1200kg is doable with a good bit of thought, would make a mean track only/racecar, ive learned my lesson dealing with tuners and now do everything myself

Hi man, keen to hear what tyres at £32.50 each offer this sensational level of grip. Cheers.

As mentioned above the type of tyre they are

Mine was specced without the coms package so didn't have the phone, looks much better without that dated thing stuck in there.

mine didnt have the phone neither, infact i found a site where you put your VIN in and it tells you what options it came with...........turns out mine came with none, not one, which suprised me as i would have thought for a £60k car, whoever first bought it would have chosen maybe at least one of the options.

I genuinely do not remember ever coming across you before, are you a returnee?

The facts are clear, a guy has CCJ's against you, meaning he took you to court and won, or did the court get it wrong... or is the guy lying about that? You claim the Mail lost the manifolds, and you didn't insure them adequately, then why are people on other forums saying you actually sold it to 2 people, then didn't deliver to either? I don't throw abuse at you, I state facts. I did not get personal or insult you. If you feel insulted based on the facts presented by other people that I summed up, then dispute those facts. You have not successfully done so on here, or any where else.

Why did I do it? Because forum posters who have good reputations, or at least clean ones, are asking about you, or dealing with you in some way, and warning them about the kind of person you have been deemed to be seems like a nice thing to do.

I know if I was responding to someone on here, asking them questions and such, and I didn't know that person was a crook, a liar, an idiot or mentally ill (of which there are many members who suffer from one or more of those things) I would want to be warned, and have been in the past by fellow members.

Looks like there have been a glut of M135i reviews in the last 24hours (media day or something). Looks like an immense car and relatively close to the 1M once you consider it's 10k cheaper (-20bhp, -70kg). Who in their right mind would buy a Focus RS or a VXR now...

The depressing thing is my company car renewal is up and there are no issues spending 30k on a 320d or 520d... damn you emissions!

just picked up my first bmw (company scheme). 318d (i had no choice!) msport in silver. looks great, a bit slow compared to the 320 but a huuuuge step up from my mazda 2

Are they road legal? How do they only cost 30 quid each?

Because they will last 20 minutes, be very soft and be OK on track in very specific conditions. You can get cheap tyres that work OK on track, the standard tyres on the Mazda I race are about £30 each and grip well.....unless it rains. However £30 tyres on an M5 is beyond a joke but based on what I am reading about this chap he doesn't listen well.

Apparently he only does it on the cheap because 'its an old saloon'. He's told us its 'just an old saloon' as if its some sort of 1994 518i or something about 5 times now :p

Aren't they 14" or 15" and fairly thin on the MX5 racing cars though? I can get Eagle F1's in my size 15" on my MX5 for £50, but they are something stupid like a billion pounds a corner on the bigger BMW's, so how is £30 doable for anything, let alone something half good in any specific condition.

They are Rich Tea Specials. I can't remember the size, but I have some on my Lego

The CCJ was put against me by default, in other words i didnt respond to any summons, but i have sorted it now and the guy does not have a CCJ against me anymore, it was removed by the judge because it was incorrect.

The manifold was lost and i refunded the guy by paypal, so theres another issue delt with..

So while you may beleive people have stated things on here as fact, your assuming they are all up to date.

Ive just checked back to that old thread and it wasnt you who kicked off on it, so my apologies there, your name looked familiar.

Just wondering while i was on the subject of weight, does anyone wonder about the old M cars that they are slowly losing there shine for there low power to weight ratio compared to a lot of there newer stuff, i know theres always going to be progress.

For example if we compare the E39 M5 which in it day was the daddy being BMWs top car with 220bhp/ton compared to the M1 which is BMWs bottom M car with 225bhp/ton.

Can we this continueing with every generation, in 10yrs we will have BMW hot hatch thats faster than the new F10 M5 with 288bhp/ton?

This is partially true, if i were living in southern europe and were abusing these very hard on a track in the summer they would wear down pretty quickly as they arnt designed for very hot conditions.

But due to our climate here they dont overheat so hold up well, to be fair ive only done about 300miles on them up to yet (a lot of that has been hard cornering and full throttle from low speed)but they havent started to show any signs of wear.

If they were £230 each would that calm your concerns......is it price or manufacturer, they are dunlop so not exactly a budget nankang make

Remember tyres dont know they are on a BMW, they are just 285 tyres, im suprised people are shocked i only pay £65 a pair for them, its not like there are millions of cars that these will fit on, dont think theres anyway they will bolt onto a honda civic.
