BMW and M Power Owners

Turbobread, I genuinely think everyone is thinking this :

You never said they were road tyres, but you are using them on the road at speeds over 150mph it would seem. You do come across as a real jack the lad, all of the answers, most of them wrong but not caring a jot because you know best. There is a reason the M5 hasn't been raced and also why a bloke who runs the championship wants entrants....

This was supposed to be the more frugal family wagon initially.....

She didnt care what as long as it was estoril blue, I chose an estoril blue 4.6 V8 Is, had it a few years now and love its comforts, nice to be up high every once in a while compared to the impreza. Thirstier than a 3xx stage 4 WRX too and the X5 is standard! lol.[/QUOTE]

Wow, that colour suits those perfectly. Love it!

Must be significant insurance savings too. I mean what's the point in having insurance if it will be insta-voided in the event of any claim as soon as they see race slicks, so I assume you dont, right? :)

I would be interested to know the law surrounding this. I thought for a second that the rules as for non disclosure would apply, but this is actually illegal, so would your insurance actually be totally void in this case? Terms on insurance (i assume) state that the car must be roadworthy, dont they?
What is the precedent for the insurance and police proceedings in the aftermath of a crash to which they attend, and find that your tyres are totally bald? (amounts to the same as having non road legal tyres i would assume).

Third party claims would be paid, nothing else. Arguable they may try and recover third party costs from him too.

haha good one!

I was getting fuel from there as its just around the corner, and took a pic of the rear of the car to get an idea of the rake of the suspension.

I have insurance, tax and MOT by the way.

You can say this is the same as having illegal number plates or non e marked approved lights, but id rather have confidence in tyres designed by dunlop than some bottom of the barrel budget tyres.

You make your choices and live with them, im happier running these

No, it really isn't the same thing at all. You have tyres designed by Dunlop to perform only in a very narrow margin of specific circumstances. They are not suitable for road use and this is why using them on the road is illegal.

No you really can't, and that fact that you think this leaves me completely speechless.:eek:

You still went to the shop.

Lies and get caught out....no no no, you lose all credibility after that and trying to argue otherwise AFTER being caught rather than admitting you are wrong is just...silly.
